Trouble these days is no one employs what sane people would call an engineer. Engineers understand things. They employ trouble finders that look at a problem solving sheet and follow it.They call them engineers to make you feel better though. Unfortunatly engineers cost more. Not that it is their fault entirely though, you want the cheap option also don't you!

it was a bt "engineer" even though i'm with sky bt have to do the repairs, the problem is that the broadband has been running at just over half speed.if there is no improvement by tomorrow i'll have to ring sky again.

Me and the kids played some games up in the games room, particularly Donkey Konga, they didn't take as kindly to Jet Boot Jack on the A8. They'll learn bless 'em! :D

Oh, it's an original drawing of Fry from the episode Jurassic Bark, that's not an answer of course! Have loads of Futurama and Simpsons drawings and original cells around the house. :D

Today the sun appeared so we took the opportunity to stuff a load of boxes in the car and head to the car boot down the road.

Sold a bit of stuff and made some money which was good.

Damn its always one thing after another !

Have an external drive, turned it on today and it has a 'churning' type noise. Nightmare ! Have lots of stuff backed up on there, most i could probably lose but the biggest thing are the babies photos (ones of the baby not ones shes taken of stuff !).

Just trying to find one of these data recovery places, no doubt will cost a small fortune

Edit - Found a 'cheap' one for £295, fingers crossed it works and they do stick to their 'set' price

Today it looks like the laptop has given up the ghost and the suspension on the car may be going.

Today I just got back from work at about 6:45. Now I'm nicely tucked up in bed and posting from my iPad, and I'm about to read the latest copy of rg. But because I'm feeling grouchy I'll probably end up on the feedback thread slagging it off

Today, what was planned as a quick job at one of the other offices turned into a whole day of shuffling things around and problem solving.

Unexpected, but its put me ahead of schedule for the refurb works in the weeks to come and we may even have built in a safety margin due to some of the work in other areas slipping. Quite pleased with myself as it'll make the next stage so much easier.

The driver's window has started jamming in mine due to a damaged weather seal so it won't pass. On a related note, I noticed today that the boot release button inside the car doesn't work anymore

Went to town today and almost drowned there was that much rain. Spent a few hours getting absolutely drenched and when I finally got back, the sun came out! Typical...

My daughter was four this week. We took her to Legoland, bought her a sword and shield and Maiko made an awesome cake!

In the pub, night before Legoland.
