I thought they were talking of merging the two Arcade Barn events into just one event in that thread?

Three of the people down for the April Barn Meet have already made significant plans to coincide with the event.

Rather than mess them about I've checked with Shaun at The Barn, to see if we have enough people to make the April Barn meet viable, and he's confirmed that we do.

To avoid the risk of accidentally having multiple Barn meets very close to each other in the future, Mat and I will probably look into ensuring one large one takes place next year instead of two.

Probably just a coincidence in names (and wishful thinking on my part) but anything to do with SID80s being there? :D

The Atari Atari 2600 Jr. was released in 1985 and 7800 which can play 2600 games was also released in the 80's, if someone has one. Warlords for the 2600 was released in 1981, with the original arcade being released in 1980 so I think your OK

Saying this its a shame its being limited to the 80's, as that really does limit gaming options which is what all these events are all about. The choice of games is just as important as the choice of systems. Still could have a Jap or USA Megadrive/Genesis with very limited choice of games but not a PAL one, and no SNES at all.

Yes, hugely looking forward to "In Da 80's". The idea behind it is to really try and explore the gaming platforms and culture of that decade, alongside hopefully competitions, comedy, burlesque, key coders from the day and the current homebrew scene, suitable entertainment and comedy to boot.

Not to say other things will be excluded, mind but that's the main focus. Oh and plenty of ale as per usual!

Barbarian, WOTEF, Kung Fu, and for the really hardcore, get someone to knock together a 4 joystick CP for some authentic arcade Karate Champ.
