Looks like the calendar is ful already. Was unlikely I was gonna run an event next year though it would have been April. Retro Rewound (provisionally silly title) will go ahead in 2012 though. I'll put a date up later in the year and will fight anyone who puts up a similar date! :D

Is it a good idea holding it so close the RCM event? Maybe you could move it to the spring Bank Holiday on May 30th?

The potential venue is not available for the spring Bank Holiday, so I have decided to cancel it.

I thought it was confirmed? How is an event confirmed when there is no venue booked?
Least you announced it quick though.

Venue was provisionally booked and has now been cancelled. I'm not getting good vibes and don't know what's planned for later in the year (2011), so will leave it cancelled for now.

I'm also a bit concerned about the number of events (which of course is a good thing overall). Most people will only go to 1 or 2 events a year and want to see how things shape up over the next few months...

Yeah about four or five a year is to much (and that monthly one in my "Kinda local pub")

How manys that this year?
I think we should get a bus driver into retro that get a bus with beds so we can save on hotels as people like me cant really afford the hotel bills (still working on the job thing) so I have to relliy on nice people like Shawn and PSj<INSERT NUMBERS> (where is he?) to put me up. I think im not the only one who has to look after the pennys (ok thats hard as I see cheap things and buy em).
Granted I do like to go to them (only time I get to play classic games with people as my family wont play-em and look puzzled when I try to talk games with them).
Hoping that my stall at Eurocon will help pay for R3plays hotel and drinking/food money

Having a lot of shows shouldn't be a bad thing. People don't have to go to all of them. It just gives people more choice, especially if they are in different parts of the country.

Well all over is fine, but centralised ones near a train station are better.
About two or three big ones and a few smaller spread out ones works out better.
It cant be easy to set up those big ones
