Thanks to everyone who came along to Eurocon and helped make it such an enjoyable event. Thanks also for all the comments, glad everyone had a good time. I really enjoyed it (although still recovering!) and even managed the odd pint and chat amongst all the rushing around. Looking forward to next year's event in Hamburg when someone else can worry about organising everything :)

I've gathered together all the photo sets and Youtube videos people have posted so far on the Event Info page on the Eurocon website (http://www.eurocon.info), do check them out, there's some great stuff on there.

Cheers, Jon

I know it's rather late to be leaving feedback but I have to say, it was an EXCELLENT event.
It was great meeting all the usual suspects and a few new faces (Mootown and Cauterize spring to mind).
Also, a massive thanks to DPrinny for allowing me to stop in Hotel DPrinny .... oh, and thanks for taking us to that café on Sunday morning - that was an awesome breakky for the measily sum of £3.50. Highly recommended!!!
Spent far too much time in The Snug (the RCM room) as some of us were having a little high score challenge on Defence Force (a Defender clone) on the Oric.

.... and finally, I never thought I'd see one ever again (let alone get all gooey-eyed and nostalgic over it), but DPrinny has a Turning Turbo Dashboard :D F*@#ING AWESOME!!!!!

Thanks to the organisers for putting on a cool show!

I'm annoyed I missed Cauterize, or maybe I didn't, and hadn't realised who he was at the time... then again Sunday was a bit of a recovery from Saturday, which was a bit of a recovery from Friday. Sunday also meant getting through the rest of the free booze and trying to beat Space Firebirds...!

I assume you're referring to me, as I don't think esteemed can be used to describe Mr B68 after Saturday night's antics!

One question.
How much was raised over the weekend for charity?

He's hard to miss, devilishly handsome chap that he is.
Just noticed Rupert was there, a bit upset about not meeting him, didn't even know he was going!

It seems I missed realising who tons of people were. They all looked like geeks and nerds to me :D

Just worked out the final total - we raised £1016 :) Many thanks to all for their generosity!

Unfortunately £434 of this is tied up in a PayPal account which has been frozen, as I erroneously set the account up as a not-for-profit business account and have not been able to get this changed with their customer service people yet. I'm trying to do this without resorting to phoning their international helpline. Does anyone have any tips on dealing with PayPal customer service, or been successful in changing their account type?

Cheers
Jon
