It's really annoying/strange how the ITV channels seem to constantly show one of The Mummy films near enough every week! What's so special about infinite repeats of some very average films? No idea why they can't show something else.

As I am currently watching one - lazily researched TV nostalgia shows.
This one's supposed to be about 1995 but in the "dance crazes" section they had:
Whigfield (from 1994)
Riverdance (originated 1993)
Macarena (UK release in 1996)

I hate how I'm pedantic enough to notice these things, like when "Cars" and "Video Killed The Radio Star" end up on 80s compilation albums. THESE ARE NOT 80S SONGS!

EDIT: They're showing footage of Amazon.com - from 1998!

Im finding the narration quite funny though. God 1995 looks old!

Cars was released in the US in '81 ;) "Video" is probably lumped with 80's as it was the first video shown on MTV, so association with that perhaps?

But surely us Brits should not make the same mistakes?
Any UK record company should know full well these songs were released here in 1979.

And the MTV thing is irrelevant seeing as it didn't start broadcasting in Europe until 1987. It's just Americans believing they are the whole world.

MTV started broadcasting in the US in 1981 as well, with Video being the first video.
you're right it's lazy americanism for the pedantic though - i'm with you there ;)

is number 69 up for sale? (sorry - so mature)

Went out with a girl who lived near Bell end. Always made me smile.(the place name - not the girl unfortunately)

Also lived round the corner from Hardon Road in Wolves.Amazing they don't change some of these names.

Having to wait FIVE WORKING DAYS just to get a copy of my birth certificate, AND having to pay the tenner upfront.

Renewing my driving licence - I completed the entire process online and my existing photo was allowed to be re used. So why on earth was I extorted for over £20? The price of plastic must be really high at the moment.....

The words thieving government areswipes spring to mind.

The House of the Dead 4 being released on PSN (4GB download!) without it being compatible with the G-Con 3 lightgun controller (afaik).

As I refuse to buy Sony's Wii Remote/Nunchuk clone I therefore won't be buying said game. Grrrrr!

That does suck. I was holding out hope that it would have been compatible also, I don't want to buy the PSMove just so I can finally play HOTD4 :(

^^ Was that not also the case with House Of The Dead Overkill: Extended Cut on PS3? That doesn't surprise me to be honest (even though I agree with you guys that it sucks).
