Cats, of the pet variety.
Long story short, my cat went out this evening, did not return by 10, this is rather odd. Went outside to find it and I hear this meowing in the distance. Now my house backs on to a school playing field, there is a huge metal fence and at the backs of the houses, it is also rather overgrown with stingy nettles and trees. So after a while I decide to investigate, I go straight to the back of my garden and start fighting my way through the thicket, after about 12 houses away from mine, I see this big fluffy cat, on the otherside of the big metal fencing in the school grounds, shouting at something in the darkness. God knows how he got in there, but he would not budge at all, in desperation I call the missus over to try and coax the cat out, it likes her more than me

. This worked after a while and it disappeared in to the thicket, being an expert cat tracker now, I try and find it.....no luck after another 5 mins, until I hear this huge meow from another garden and there it is, squaring up to another cat

, just get back in the bloody house!!
So now an hour later, the cat is finally back in the house and will be grounded for the time being! I am covered in stings from the nettles, and wondering why we do all this for pet animals!!
