Oh haha

It's a good, reliable car and that's what I want at the moment. If you offer to bankroll the insurance money for something beefier then I could perhaps consider an upgrade

Nothing wrong wrong a MK5 Fiesta, I have owned a mk2, mk3, and a mk5. the problem is when they get over the ten years old mark on one want to know for spares. It still amazes me some off the cars I have seen scrapped

Of all the cars in the UK the Fiesta must be one of the easiest to get bits for! There will be tonnes being broken, several owners clubs and specialists.

Now, try finding bit for a Yguo!

They're easy to get bits for as so many women drive them.

Surprised so many here have had them, I assume its the wife's car.

Cold callers, two within half an hour off each other. Can they not read the sticker on the door that says NO COLD CALLERS.

Bully

I'm being honest when I say that I don't see it though. I see loads of Fiesta's about on the roads in my town and the pattern seems to be that the lads drive the older models (Mk5 and below) and the women have the newer versions (Mk6 onwards).

At the end of the day, the Mk5 Fiesta is still an extremely common car. The Mk4 is also nearly identical and you see both in abundance. Compare that to the number of model one Corsa's you see (not many) and you can see that Fiestas are cars that just keep on going and are therefore well worth owning regardless of who is 'supposed' to drive them

If I could get the insurance then I would have actually had a Mk1 Focus or even an X/Y plate Escort instead but this is my first car and so the insurance on the Fiesta alone was eye-watering...now there's a gear-grinder - forced to pay extortionate insurance because of the unisured tw@ts in Subaru's and modified Saxos who cause tons of accidents

The music at work has been grinding my gears this weekend. Basically, it's broadcast by some sort of satellite system to all the stores at once but something went wrong yesterday because the exact same song kept playing over and over and over in and endless loop all day. That was a 9 hour shift with a bad cover of a Kylie song playing non-stop. Happened again today until around midday when the music finally got sorted.

I don't mind blokes who drive Fiestas tbh. If they're happy to look effeminate, that's fine by me ;)

Don't worry so much about them, blame the scumbags who claim thousands in "whiplash" after a minor shunt, and the parasitic ambulance chasers who encourage such claims.

People who CAN drive but WON'T drive, and expect other people to give them lifts.

I have worked round this problem by never getting my license.

I sort of fall into that bracket, unfortunately these days I can know longer turn my head at all due to ankylosing spondalitis and in Sheffield there are so many cyclists and v. small roads I'm not prepared to risk missing a blind spot or two.

I'm going to fall on my sword right now to defend the male fiesta owners by admitting that my first car was a Ka, it was cheap to insure and was like a go-kart, surprising how quick and maneuverable they can be, but far more feminine than a fiesta surely?
Now have a Mk1 Focus ST which addresses the balance but gotta admit the running costs aren't as friendly
Visit www.youtube.com/replayretro . why? well erm, cos it would be awfully friendly of you to take a look i guess, you don't have to though, nobody will make you *sob sob*
