Look it up. Its in the dictionary and predates the internet. Its only the rise of the net that has made it a common usage word.

(fwiw, I only looked it up myself a few years ago).

Urban dictionary all the way.

Its generally something like a internet thing,
First one I can think of is dancing hamsters. Of late it is a term that gets over used

Starting to get a little tired of the 4 or 5 opinionated, self important posters on here that drive people away, argue every tiny point, troll, fight, b1tch and generally drag the forum down with their endless, tedious garbage.
You know who you are.
You post endlessly and belittle everyone's opinions, yet argue as if your own are fact. There is not one subject on here on which you do not voice an opinion, and it is usually the same repetitive old rubbish that in your head passes for wit.
Give it a rest. You're boring the internet to death.

Without "naming and shaming" your post will be fruitless, because this could be me...or it could not, so business as usual :D

Funnily enough, that's what I thought too. Its often the case they don't know who they are, since quibbling over minor details isn't so much trolling as a personality defect (if you want to consider accuracy a defect). I'm sure some of my posts are considered trolly by some, but its never the intent unless I'm doing it to someone I personally know and will take a jibe in the intended spirit.

Ice cream vans.

I had two bubblegum ice lollies while I was in town earlier. One from a shop - 50p and it was bloody lovely. One from a van - £1, bland and tasteless. This same van was charging - get this - £2.10 for a 99!!!

The name 'Inflation-adjusted 99' doesn't quite have the same zing to it I guess!

On a related note, I wonder if 'penny sweets' are still sold today? I'm guessing they're not or if they are then they're likely tiny in size relative to years ago.

They didn't have any :( - they usually have loads of the Vimto ones which are my favourites.

Betterware AGAIN the stupid women two doors up keeps putting her crap through my door. I never have nor never will buy anything from them. If this women is to stupid to get you do not make money from Betterware but selling the idea of it to other mugs.

Ebay yet again, picked up two rare (ish) retro games from a seller (cart only). He charged me a £6 for postage and what did I get today a used padded env with two large letter stamps on it. Not happy

Jobsworth security guards who know full well they are just being awkward. I have my uniform, and my gate pass, but because I don yet have a pink sticker for my car (through no fault of mine btw) they refuse me entry to my place of work. How wankerish can you get?
