They're using less and less words these days. I overhear "Bi' la" a fair bit...

Meaning "See you in a bit, lad".

"Forgetting stuff"
Went to RGps place this weekend and took all the pacman vs bits, bar the disc
Packed my bag to come home found out that I was missing two things

Worse still is when one of the people suddenly becomes famous and in all the mags for no real reason. What did they do to deserve it? Nothing obviously. The whole lot is sh1te and an utter blight on TV.

Easier to market TV trash than a athlete or someone that does useful stuff

Look at Jeremy Bedal, someone thats fitting of the term "celebrity" as he entertained and did stuff for charity (apart from going to Africa's "PG" wastelands for a day every year).

Come on mass media, we have some gold medallists, lets get them famous, lets get places named after them. Better still these Paralimions (urgh), A guy with no legs is better than somebody that goes out most nights to get legless

Union propaganda.

I walk past a Unisons branch every morning, the stuff they have in the window is laughable, this morning I saw a new one:

"FIGHT THE SYSTEM"

Now, I thought most of their membership (ie Public Sector) was the system?

If not, who is the system, because it certainly isn't me.

Listing stuff on ebay, I thought it could not get any worse but it has . Apparently I am no longer allowed to put things like "If you are not happy with my terms do not bid" or words to that effect :(

^^^^ +1 for me too.

Ticket prices rising inexorably, but not as bad as the popcorn and drink prices.
The small independent in Kings Lynn isn't too bad for this, not cheap, but I went to a huge Imax the other day for the latest Batman and nearly chocked at the price of a regular Coke and Popcorn.
They then had the cheek to show an advert about Piracy killing movie going. I go to the cinema as much as I can because I enjoy the experience, but I'll be sneaking in my own refreshments in future, and if the prices go up another quid, I'll wait for it to come up on Netflix.

When I took my Dad, Kids, and Niece to see Brave it cost me over £60! (including 2 bags of popcorn and 4 drinks). £3.80 for a slushy!!!

I tend to to drink or eat anything, if I was to id sneak my own in.

I prefer not to get films via "Another means" but for £8 I could feed my self for a few days

You mean you haven't been sneaking your own stuff in for years already??? High prices for food is not a new thing, they make relatively little money from the ticket prices, which I don't think are that bad myself. Now I have kids I pick and choose what I want to see more carefully. If me and missus go on an evening we have to pay for a babysitter also, that's where the expense comes in for us.

People still sneak stuff in? I haven't "sneaked" anything in for years, just walk into the place carrying it. What are they going to do, take it off me?

I would really like to see them try, some spotty kid trying to take a mars bar of a 40 year old man yeah that would end well. My local Odeon now has a costa in it. Not some mini costa but a full sized one. From what I have been told a cinema only gets to keep 3% from the cost of your ticket the rest goes to the film companies, etc
