It was a pleasant eve. At least you two not drinking stopped me from straying so I was fresh for my test. I think I did ok.

In fairness, it was that kind of pub. Excellently kept beer and huge comfy chairs, just shows what good taste I have. :D

Spotted that there's a great big branch of Cash Conveters opening up at the bottom of the Headrow in the city centre, the shop used to be a branch of Argos. Might be good for the odd retro purchase.

Leeds has always been conspicuous by the lack of one in the centre - a bit of competition for CEX is always a good thing!

Been noticing that this week on the way to work, bus goes straight up Eastgate, it's a b*stard I'm on nights. :(

Loving there's finally a Cash Converters in Leeds city centre, made it my absolute mission to check it out when I finish my nights on Saturday, probably gonna be weird because I used to work fulltime there back in 1995/1996 (my job there paid for my PS1 & Saturn on their PAL launches).

wish i had spotted this thread earlier, wouldnt have been able to make it for any more than a pint as i finish work at 10 - work over the road from the wardrobe too.

was that new gen games the one by the scabby taps? i remember there used to be an import games shop there about 8-9 years ago that was pretty expensive and no one in there ever seemed to want to sell you anything

dont forget the palace for some good beers too

and i never even knew about cash converters too on eastgate, go past there everyday to work too :D

Not likely to be there again in a hurry. An instance of passing an exam being a bad thing :(

Yeah, my poor wallet wasn't sure what had hit it either! We're happy just to find a nice pub for a chat, but there's always the cheap and relatively cheerful OBM by the market if people want food.
