And here it is guys, after all our hard work I'm proud to present the final magazine in all it's glory:

http://www.nes-bit.com/?page_id=5045

Help support the site and future issues, there's lots in the mag for all to enjoy. Something for collectors and retro NES gamers alike. Packed in as much as possible and really proud of what we achieved.

Bought it last night, but ended up just skimming it as I HATE reading PDFs or anything in length on a monitor screen.. so now I've ruined the experience of waiting for the proper printed mag.. which I probably wont buy now as I already have the PDF..

I really think you should have just released it as a magazine for a fiver and not bothered with the pointless PDF system.. I mean I have all the retro gamers upto about issue 50 I think, as PDFs, but I never read them, instead choosing to buy back issues from ebay so I can read it in physical form.

Ah well.. the mag seemed quite good, although the homebew section didnt really rate the games very well.. they should have had a score.. Wraith is rubbish.. but no mention of Battle Kid, Bat Puncher or some of the other much better homebrew games..

also there were several mistakes, poor arrangements of text on certain pages and a few other hiccups.. but everyone involved deserves a pat on the back for the dedication to the wonderful NES and for getting it done to a reasonable high standard :D

Bat Puncher and BattleKid (reviews and developer interviews) were featured extensively on the site quite recently and it would have been over doing it featuring them again in the mag. The games picked were chosen by the reviewer after working his way through a list of around 40, you wouldn't believe how many HB games there are for the NES

We will be doing a print run for Replay (with a very special extra+freebie exclusive to the printed version) so you will be missing out if you don't pick it up. Sadly print runs are extremely expensive these days (several hundred pounds in fact  ) and I wouldn't want any one to miss out so the PDF is the best way forward for all. The content is also exclusive to the magazine and will never reappear on the main site so I hope that's enough of a draw for all to read.

Thanks for buying the mag, we are really proud of it :D

It is only worth printing a fanzine if you know that a large people are going to buy it. PDF is the best way of doing it for the time being.

Fantasic looking so far! Only thing I would poss reconsider is the white text on colour background - early Crash, YS, ZZapp! used to do this and it was a strain on the eyes to read (I know you've got a drop shadow on the 'Simpsons' review - for headlines and sub headings this is fine but for columns of text, this is a big no no)

Can't wait to see the finished item though. :D

Still in talks with printers but print prices being what they are I'd expect the cost to be at least double the PDF version.

How many are you going to be printing off for R3play? Do we need to put our names down for one.

They will be available on the PixnLove stall in limited numbers, a case of first come first served I'm afraid.

Bought the PDF. Its in a very 'magazine' style layout (which was obviously the intention), but that doesn't translate well to eReaders. Was/is any consideration given to an eReader version to include in the zip?

I would rather pay double for a mag than half for a PDF. If you do it, ill take one. It looks great.

Will we have other chances to buy one or is this the only chance we'll get?
