Yes the sigs are large and thats something we aim to address.. What i will say is the forum is new and we are still finding our feet. The colours represent the Retro feel perfectly we feel but a less colourful theme can be selected via the members profile.

Says somebody with a big bright sig. There are only 3 regular members on the whole forum with a sig set up and mine there is no bigger than yours is here.

Hang about a bit, how's mine bright?...its grey and small. The sig you had yesterday was twice the size of your current one and as garish as they come. Did you change it just to make a point here?

Fair enough mate, i'm sure you want honest feedback as otherwise you can't make improvements. I'll pop over again in a week or two and see how its going. I've nothing against the bright colours in general...i was just a little overwhelmed by it all. The ones you have in your sig here are perfect.

Mario or Sonic?

Why I hate Sony like Sonic team?

What is your fav Sega/Atari console?

Those are the topics I noticed on a forum crammed with Atari and Sega only love. Wicked forum. Still, early days and all that.

Thats because we banned all the Nintendo fanboys

In seriousness it just happens that the members we have right now are Sega and Atari fans so the topics are bound to be slanted that way. There are actually CDi reviews up now though and some NES ones will be going up too shortly.

It's just not very welcoming if you do like a certain company that all. :)

Go over there and start a load of threads about how great Mario and Zelda are then and you and Killbot will feel right at home

I can assure you i am one of the most laidback people your likely to meet and RVG will be the same. We dont have fanboys just some people prefer certain systems.

I've signed up. Since the focus is squarely on retrogaming, the forum is very nicely structured indeed. I like the fact that there are forums for non-gaming activities (programming/graphics) as well. I like the diversity of this place (i.e. RG), it's a kind of organised chaos that generates interest, but RVG is well set up for the "proper" old-school stuff (whatever "proper" means, of course, that's a long story).
