It is a shame I agree. It is down to money. Spa is having trouble raising the cash to stage a Grand Prix for every year.

Paul Ricard is a pretty decent circuit(although it now has many different layouts - be interesting to see what one they would use). I accept that it isn't up to Spa's level - but it is better than Magny-Bors.

I don't think that much of the Turkey circuit. Only turn 8 of that is any good. Otherwise it just seems like another Tilkedrome.

I watched Sky's F1 show last night. Apparently, Vettel's car's brakes were overheating. That is why they wanted to park it. He was having radio problems, so that is why he didn't stop.

Get read for a BUMP!

There. Anyway, the Chinese Grand Prix will be on this weekend. I am not really a fan of the track. Still, you can at least overtake there. I don't know whether or not, the teams would have bought any new upgrades. I think the McLaren will still have some advantage. This year, I think it is going to be much closer - I think we could get 5 drivers fighting for the WDC(the usual suspects that is).

I don't know what the weather will be for China. I suspect we will get a dry race.

The Bahrain Grand Prix will be the talking point though. I personally don't think it should go ahead.

Don't forget my fellow forumities to enter your predictions on the Retro Gamer Fantasy F1 competition. Good luck everyone.

Thank you for the reply, markopoloman. Yes, it looks like a slight shower for Friday's Practice and rain for Sunday's race. Yeah! However, it means we are going to have a Safety Car test session on Sunday!

Looks like Bahrain is still on!

Just a quick update - Lewis has a 5 grid slot drop for a gearbox change for the Chinese race. See this :-

Yeah - a Mercedes pole position and it wasn't for Schumi! Bad luck Schumi! Rosberg did a great job. Tomorrow will be a different story though. The wet weather might help the Mercedes. Plus, Schumi is pretty good in the wet. It could be a Mercedes win? Hmmmmm - we'll wait and see.

Jenson seemed to have some trouble. I suspect that Hamilton will be fast tomorrow, he just has to avoid crashing into people.

Vettel didn't do well! 11th! What went on there? Webber seemed to have the better setup.

The Ferraris look slow, but maybe Alonso can work his magic again.

Good show from Kobayashi. 3rd place for the Sauber. I wonder if Perez will have a good race tomorrow?

Let us hope that they don't start the race behind a safety car.

Was an interesting session. The Mercs did well (nice to see Rosberg shaft Schumi) but I reckon it'll be same old in the race - heavy on the tyres and slipping backwards.
Kobyashi in 3rd is a tough one! They use their tyres much much better than the mercs (although if Perez had been in 3rd it would have been better for them).
Mclaren - Hamilton did well for 2nd, but down to 7th with that penalty. Button has got to sort out heating up the front tyres on a cold track though! Lucky for him Lewis got the penalty as 5th is not as bad as it could have been. Fingers crossed he finds something in the race.
RedBull - Go Webber! So nice to see him leading the drivers in that team. I have to admit letting out a shriek of laughter when Vettel popped over the line in 11th

Ferrari - They have the double decker London bus back!

Can't wait for the race :D

Woooo hoooooo! A new winner at last! Well done to Nico. Taking the first Mercedes win since the great Fangio. Schumi must not be happy now. I wonder if Mercedes will claim any more victories this season?

Good drives from Button and Hamilton.

Webber managed to get one over Vettel.

Kimi gave us some entertainment - going from 2nd to 14th! Bless. I hope he does get at least a podium this season.

If only Perez hadn't mucked up at the last race, we would now have two new winners in F1.

Delighted for Rosberg. :D

Good effort from the Williams-Renault duo today too.

Kobayashi with the fastest lap.

Biggest shock for me was the Saubers poor positions at the end. I thought they would be in with a shout today....

Brilliant drive and win for Nico - a really nice chap, even if he does look like a pixie!

Great drives from Button & Hamilton - such a shame Button had that wheel problem in the pitstop.

As with last years Chinese GP - this was an awesome race :D :D Only down side is we are off to the snorefest that is Tilkerain umm Bahrtilke - no, Bahrain

Note to Kimi - better to lose 20 seconds in the pits than 3-4 a lap for 10 laps!

I still am amazed how fast the Saubers are though. Faster than the works Ferrari

And, oh dear, Bahrain. The fact that they are going is sheer idiocy, but the track, good grief, the track is sooo booooring. I think that Codemaster's F1 2010 would have scored 10% higher in reviews if it weren't for the fact that the opening grand prix was Bahrain. It is just so...beige. The in field is just a mess of tight, twisty, slow corners that all join together into an unending mess. It is almost impossible to tell where you are, because it all looks the same. Not looking forward to watching that.
