Just reading the names people have mentioned of folk that have died in the music industry.
It seems being dead comes with greatness.

Bieber, Jedward & N-Dubz? Way more talented than Crowded House.

The Monkees? A TV, "comedy" band
Etta James - more famous for other folk singing her stuff (on the X-Factor)

[edit] BTW, I'm not trivialising these deaths in any way.

Hey, it's not only relative newcomers such as Justin Bieber, Jedward and N-Dubz. Afaik, the members of this old group are still alive and kicking...

No he's serious- he prefers techno music to the Beatles too! But it takes all sorts to make the world go round, and it would be boring if everyone had the same tastes. There should always be some room for people who only appreciate music that's almost completely impersonal and asexual. Well, just a little :D

We're talking Jedward here. There can be no excuses.

Yes, I am serious. I don't like Jedward or N-Dubz but Crowded House are just the worst.

As for the other thing, yes, I prefer most things to the Beatles.

You go on a lot about what you don't like, but give us some examples of albums/singles you rate highly. You can even mention your techno records if you want!

Do I really? I apologize.

The last bit, I don't get though.
You mention techno records then quote from a song by The Shamen. Weird.
I expect that's just your ignorance of modern music genres but I must admit, it is hard keeping up with them all.

Do you have a link to the post where I championed techno music?

I was wondering what acts you consider better than the beetles. Give me some names please.
Oh, and In my opinion Techno is a far from modern musical genre having it's roots laid down in the early 80's in both America an uk and reaching it's comercial peak in UK at least in the late 90's early 00's.
