Not for me he didn't. His music, all of it, was sh1t.
In the past I wouldn't dream of going into a thread where people want to talk about a person that meant something to them and taking a giant sized p1ss in it but I think I will be from now. I think I'll do it every time if I think the person under discussion isn't worth the worship. I'll do it long and often. I don't expect to be flamed when I do it btw. After all, "forums are for opinion" and apparently that means I can say what I want regardless of other people's feelings or intentions within the thread.

Well, that was an embarrasing post. Way to go and take what people have said and turn it into something completely different. Well done.

And to comment on another remark made by someone else, where the censored is their trolling on this thread? The use of the word trolling has got to be the most overused phrase on this forum. No one has trolled the thread, do a quick search for the name of the kid who died followed by 'jokes' to see what internet trolling really looks like.

And as for not having threads about soldiers who have been killed, I could say the same about not having threads about the massacre in a sikh temple last week or the massacre in a Nigerian church over this weekend, or the earthquake in Iran (unless i've missed them, it is possible...).

I also agree with Chiptune, so i'm going to have a lie down...

Should have pointed out that my reference to 'trolling' is a general comment on the state of the entire forum , not this thread. This thread has its own brand of bickering without the 'trolling' so far. I am aware it is an over used term (did put some ' ' around them to show it as a quoted term , not a term I would use - though " " would have been better I suppose... ) but that was my first comment on this thread and tbh I can just see it descending into oblivion and being derailed as per usual , as per so many other threads lately..

Fair enough. Apologies, thought that people were being accused of trolling on this thread, which they aren't. It's the accusaitions of constant trolling which is doing as much harm to threads here as any actual trolling itself.

I've seen some pretty darn nasty trolling on other places and its not that bad here. The forum has changed in the few months I've been here - sadly not for the better in a lot of it. That said , RetroCollect is hardly a hive of activity so maybe I should sod off and lurk there to chill out...

I'm always lurking on RC. But the forum has a very specific aim and not much other than collecting is talked about there - fair enough. RG has a wide variety of subjects talked about, I think that's in the forum's favour.
