Just seen this.
Sad, he seemed like a nice bloke as well.

True Romance is one of my all time favourite films.

Tony Scott was reportedly eager to direct the Gears of War movie.

Enemy of the State is one of my favourite films and slightly underrated so this is sad news. Couldn't recall which movies he'd been involved in at first and then remembered his name from the EotS DVD.

I would put Enemy Of The State in my top 10 list of films.

I liked a lot of his films, especially Crimson Tide, Enemy Of The State, Man On FIre and Spy Game, which we're thoughtful action-thriller that dealt with conscience and morality. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed True Romance aswell but I've only seen it once and that was pretty soon after it came out.

I was never was a fan of Top Gun though, I actually read somewhere that Tony Scott himself regreted how much it glorified war. Perhaps films like Crimson Tide were his way of adressing that?

He had nothing to do with Behind Enemy Lines (which is rather underrated film nonetheless)
