I used to like many Future mags, but they have got very dry, serious and boring.

There was talk of someone producing an 'Amiga Power' one a few months ago. In fact there was also an 'Amstrad Action' one in the pipeline but that seems to have disappeared due to a lack of leadership.

I think if any magazine deserves a final issue it's AA, even if it's 10 years late.

As much as I love AP I really think no-one could do it better than issue 65 already did, unless you get Campbell, Nash, Davies etc back and present the whole thing from the afterlife I suppose.

As for the CF DVDs it annoys me simply because I never got to read that title. I've managed to find his super play scans but not CF.

Irritating as hell that I can't even get them at no profit to anyone.

SU was definetly last out of all the Speccy mags - Though the longest survivor, sadly!

Your Sinclair carried on after Sinclair User, and was the final Spectrum magazine to close with the big farewell September 1993 issue. However, because SU started a long time before either of its rivals it did indeed enjoy the longest run - 11 years in fact.

I confirmed this, there's a story about the demise of SU in YS89. YS lasted until YS93.

Thanks for the info - never realised YS lasted that long. I still have fond memories of the Ant Attack map and April Showers Jet Set Willy room - i least i think they were both in YS.

Reading through YS I've just discovered that the story on the demise of Sinclair User was actually their story on the demise of crash 2 years earlier, but with the name of the mag changed. Of course. :)

(see issue 71 for the crash story)
