Thanks for all the profiles so far guys :)

While it's great to see classics like Head Over Heels and Sonic the Hedgehog appearing, I'm also enjoying titles that I've long since forgotten about or never knew existed.

You don't have to be an amazing writer and you certainly shouldn't be embaressed about your potential writing skills, as no one is judging you at all. We simply want to build a great community that's created by the readers for the readers, so keep those profiles coming :)

I'm just glad I was able to put up Strider and Robotron before anyone else did ;)

Another couple of things I've spotted that need to be looked at (sorry if you already know about them!)

On each user's profile page there's a URL for their profile, presumably so you can share it with others, e.g. mine is:

http://www.retrogamer.net/user/witchfinder

But if you try to go to this URL you get a page not available type error!

Also, there are quite a few places where rather than referring to 'games' the links/buttons refer to 'images', I guess this is because the site has been cloned from the code for the photography magazine/site so perhaps a bit of 'find and replace' is in order... ;)

Anyway, I'm about to post game profile number 25 so am obviously liking the site! I've also posted on my blog about it so you'll hopefully get a few more hits and contributors from there...

Oh and another thing to remember when putting up profiles. Please can you ensure that they don't run over 350 words.

Also can you make sure they're about 100 words minimum as well.

Just putting something like.

''This is the best bomberman game because it's on the Saturn'' doesn't really do the game justice and simply robs someone of the chance of writing about it instead.

With regards to all the other little niggles that have been found, they're be passed on to the relevant team on Monday.

Thanks guys.

Damn, Saturn Bomberman was on my list of reviews to write too! ;)

Right, I've joined and my Unirally review is submitted, glad I got my grubby mitts on that one.

More to follow! :D

What happens if someone submits a game while the same game is awaiting approval by someone else? Is it still first-come first-served?

Does the "edit box" automatically limit you to 350 words (i.e. bounce the review when it is submitted) or does the retrobate have to keep track of word count?

Damn, you're online....

Edit: Hey, spiffy, they're updated. So that's why I never got to play Unirally. It looked like so much fun when I saw it on tv on it's release, it's always been on my to-do list....

Just joined and submitted a review/summary for Megaman 2. I'll try to do as much of the series as I can (unless someone beats me to it!)

You're doing well. Up to number 6 now I see :)

Also as a reminder, can you please make sure you're taking your own images and not simply taking them from other websites. Also, please refrain from using packshots, as it helps to keep everything consistent.

Cheers guys :)
