most ridiculous MEGA RARE on ebay?

Postby Timothy Lumsden on Mon Dec 08, 2008 5:55 pm

just for fun, seeing as it's xmas - let' see who can find the blatantly crap use of RARE or MEGARARE in a retro game listing on EBAY

(ie: games that are common as muck. peddled by exclamation mark freaks!!!)

OK, here's one:

I bought a copy of this for £2 at the weekend... The seller has loads more MEGA RARE items too! ;)

Edit: This one would be the ultimate of this seller's pisstakes...

Seen this guy on a lot of e-bay auctions, he describes a game as rare if it is not currently being sold in Gamestation or wherever!

While we're on the subject, how is it that Wii sports sells for a high amount on ebay?

I've sold 2 copies the last few months for over £20 each, but I can't imagine whos buying them as there must be exactly as many copies of Wii Sports as there are consoles?

Can anyone explain?

at least that is a rare game. Maybe he is 300 to 400% of a true cost, but FIFA 99 for £17.50 is more like 1000%.

I have never seen this game before
But then again I was blind

A bit more recent

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XBOX-GAME-CONKER- ... 240%3A1318
And now a true RARE game

LOL at the idiots buying those.

Someone paid £25 for Wii Fit without the balance board? Stupidity itself (unless they had been using their old Wii Fit disc as a frisbee or something and wrecked it.)

With regards to Wii Sports, can't explain exactly who's buying them on Ebay but at this time of year, some unscrupulous shops will sell second hand Wiis without Wii Sports, then attempt to charge extra for the copy of Wii Sports to go with it.

people buying Wii Sports on ebay - that's bonkers. There are so many copies in the world we use them as drinks coasters in our house.

I cant believe he's charging that much for Fifa 99 !

Plus the annual sports games (NHLPA, FIFA, MADDEN etc) are probably the games that lose the most value.

I wouldnt pay more than 2 quid for FIFA 99.

You should start bunging them on eBay. Could probably pay off the mortgage with them all

I know CEX do that, which I suppose is fair enough, but who are these idiots that are buying a second-hand Wii for £150 and then buying Wii Sports for £20?!
