Here's one.

Its for Las Vegas Fruit Simulator for the C16/C64. I really cant believe someone paid £29.99 for it.

And Vic20. I don't have this game in Gamebase20 yet so it must be pretty hard to find. I was considering buying it until I found a big Vic20 collector I know owns it, so I'll get an inlay scan and TAP from him instead.

Although that is actually quite a rare game for some reason, as is the PS2 version. strange but true.

Oh come on the PS1 HP certainly isnt rare, not worth more than a couple of quid, the PS2 used to be, but has become far more common of late after loads of new & sealed copies starting appearing on ebay etc.

Toward the end of the PSone's life it was being bundled with HP so there should be no shortage of copies about. I paid about a fiver for it and that was several years ago.

I also saw ebays most charmless listing a few weeks back - the guy wrote nothing else but PAY STRAIGHT AWAY (in caps) in the text field.

Yeah "Very Rare" - perhaps the most popular & famous 8-bit game of all time.

About as rare as Sonic on the Megadrive, Mario on the NES or FIFA on ever system ever made ever.

I would recently have dismissed this as exaggeration (sorry Rinoa!) but last week when chasing a DS as a Christmas present I saw recent-ish second-hand 360 games in CEX Merry Hill for £42. Unbelievable. After the past 2/3 years CEX has gone from first stop to last stop and only then if wearing scruffy shoes (as anybody who's seen the state of the carpet in the Brum store will recognise...).

Whatever happened to the shop I bought my US NTSC FF7 from?

Super R-Type ebay listings are always a source of amusement for me, with a bit of shopping around you should be able to get a nice boxed copy for a fiver:

The "new" condition item looks a bit warn to me and even on a good day is probably about £15 (excluding P+P) overpriced.

This is a copy of the US version which is even more common than the PAL and JAP verisons. The Jap version is the most desireable due to the lovely box art which starts at about £12

The price and description made me laugh. Its not the easiest game to find but £180 is an insane price for it (its worth about £40 in that condition) and saying it is rarer than Megaman V for the GB is an outright lie (MMV goes for about £100 on average).

Just browing thru ebay I think some of these sellers are getting stung as the market for used games has obviously dropped over the last few months. Quality items still sell for good prices, but there are loads more games for sale in general as they don't shift as easily anymore. Makes it better for genuine collector's such as ourselves IMO.
