I don't think anything has been stolen at these events in the past, but it is easy for prople to wander off and put it down somewhere.

after being to a couple of these events now i personaly wouldn't have a problem leaving my handhelds on a table! as for games carts...there are always boxes of games lying about that would be easy to pinch...but so far as i know...nobody ever has!...even when there is a box of free-bees..people tend to double check before helping themselves!

Hi Darren, according to Multimap it's 147.65 miles, 2Hrs 47m... so 150 miles and 3 hours...

I'm surpried it's that far, and as it's dual cabbageway and motorway all the way I would say nearer 2 hours..

Be good to see you, get the ferry over the night before and stay at Mohicankid's then head up early on Sat.. job done.. :)

Absolutely fantastic to see another event! Considering Byte Back was less than two weeks ago, you've really got the ball rolling so far.

Just booked the hotel for the Saturday night. Might also stay on the Friday if the hotel's offering a discount for the event :)

I have to say though, I'm having problems with the actual Retro Reunited website. I'm guessing it's because I'm on IE and you haven't had time to look at it yet, but most of the righthand column is overlapping (see picture).

Deffo count me in for this one. Me and Milton (some of you will remember him..........laughs like a seal!) we'll be there. Will PM Darran to see if he can make it - as I would happily drive him up again.

BTW - where the hell is huddersfield?????

Can do a Plus/4 as well :)

Damn! You beat me too it, I was gonna bring my C16 :D
I can bring a few C16 games though, if there's definitely gonna be a C16 or a +4 there.

Dare I suggest, I could bring my CPC 6128.

I can bring my Commodore 116 with 64k Mod. It confuses the Spectrum owners :)
(...and is also rather cute!)

I also have a SX64 that I can bring along, if people would like to see it.

I also have a Videopac G7000 (AKA Odyssey 2) which I could bring along and about five 14" TV's and quite a few power extension leads.

I also have a 1541-III which can connect to the Vic20/C64/SX64/C128/C128D/C16/C116/Plus4, and will bring it along, so if anyone has any games requests, I can load them onto it ready. it also saves lugging loads of unreliable tapes and disks around.
I'm gonna burn your house down. With a lemon.

It would be good if people who are offering to bring kit PM'd me as it will be easier to track.

That is weird cos it has been tested on IE. What version are you using?

By the screenshot, it looks like she's got IE7.
I'm gonna have a look at it i IE myself, as I use Firefox 99.9% of the time.

Just had a look.
If I open the site in IE7, I get exactly the same problem!

Not that wierd seeing as how I told you about this little problem already..
You can't dismiss people on IE just because you don't use it, most people do still use it and the website is suffering because of this.. I gave up trying to read it all because it looks a mess..

Once again you jump in feet first. If you read the post I stated that I TESTED IT ON IE. I am using an IE machine right now and it is looks absolutely fine. In fact I had a number of problems getting it to work in FF as well as it was in IE.
The site will not work with IE6, but to be honest if people are still using IE6 then more fool them as it doesn't provide anywhere near the level of security that is needed these days. You will also see that I asked Rinoa what version she is using so that I can try to address the problem

If I can find out the version then I can see if anything can be done with the current template. If not I can build a specific site that users of that browser will see. I am not that stupid as to dismiss 60% of the internet population - even if I do think they should all get a browser that is actually good!
