It's right near the beginning of the game, but for me this is my favourite level.

I remember back in the day thinking that I was playing an interactive cartoon and it's slickness still manages to wow me. I love the music as well here. There's a really ethereal feeling to it that feels almost as light as the leaves that mickey must jump on.

saying that i'm sure I'll be just as impressed with Cake World ;)

That's the giant castle right, where he's jumping across light switches and stuff? It's such an inventive little platformer. Really enjoying this :)

The second level, Toy World or something? Trekking up the steps for the key and then they all turn into a big slide, and then there's the part where you keep switching the level upside down, so many tricks hidden around the place!

My favourite level is the one you hit the switch to turn upside down. It even switches the controls to bounce upside down which I didn't actually click onto at first :D

The first Castle stage when it turns into Castlevania and you collect some candles at the beginning to burn bats alive with before heading down to the dungeon.

Or maybe the third and final Castle stage, which you make your way up by way of working cogs and machinery and then fight a boss with a bowl cut at the end. Any game that allowed you to beat up someone with a bowl cut in the early 90s was a winner. If it were remade today, I would want that boss's hair restyled to a Hoxton Fin.

Most definitely not the middle Castle stage, though, as that's nothing more than a wedge of stinky filler sandwiched in-between those two mighty slices of platforming.

It would have to be the clock level for me. I just thought it looked lovely and better than any Mickey Mouse cartoon.

I'm stuck at that water level with the jumping fish. I get to the mushroom thing in the end with the two stars above it, I can spot the exit behind the cliff, but how do I get there? :?:

I think it's the gap that's third from the end mate. You swim down and get taken along a new tunnel that goes along the bottom.

This is a pretty impressive stage as well, especially once you have to start contending with the falling streams of water. It also boasts some brilliant music. In fact all the tunes in Castle of Illusion are of an exceptionally high standard.

Deffo the Spider/Webs level.

Not to butter up Darran, just because it's the level my warped brain always assosiates with the game. That and jumping trees. Occationally this level pops up in my dreams! And It must have been pretty good, they brought it back for World of Illusion.

Has to be the Cake level.. inventive, fun to play and looks amazing, and it's all the more surprise straight after the already-impressive library level.

Made me hungry for chocolate too!

Nah, never liked the cake level. There's something about the parallax scrolling which is a bit... off? Gives me motion sickness anyway
