According to the site they need more orders to keep it going...so if you haven't already...

From here, something called "compy.info" that's part of the Retro Fusion frameset is giving a Google malware warning for the whole site - that's not going to help getting in orders...

I give in....

Will pay back the monies over the next couple of weeks - will do that over the next few days. Too much effort, too little reward and a total lack of motivation.

Maybe we will put the stuff we have done online somewhere soon - will talk to those who have been involved.

Soz chaps.

I have £150 in payments in the RF paypal account.

I am going to donate that to the Haiti Earthquake appeal if no-one objects.

If you do have a problem with me doing that, then please shout by next weekend and I will refund your money. If I do not hear by then, I will donate it.

Cheers.

I'm deeply disappointed with this decision, after all the painstakingly effort put into this project , the cover design, and page layout now to be disbanded into up in smoke , I'm very dis hearten over this as I'm sure allot of you are too..I'd really high hopes for this to emerge and now it won't and I understand about costs and overheads couldn't realise the materialisation of the magazine, but still feel serious amounts of my time where wasted and wouldn't be seen or enjoyed from fellow Retro Gamer / Gamer readers now....highly pee'd over this Chris..

I think it's a pity. Most people won't pre-order, you have to deal with that. 99.9% of people want to pay for something and then receive it almost straight away - that's the world we live in. I'm sure you'd have recouped your costs if you'd gone to press.

To print 500 copies, 68 pages, Full Colour is £1,600.

I have £150 in the bank from pre-ordes. Back for issue 0,1 and 2 I used my credit card and then chased those who had adverts for like 6 months to recoup costs. Not going to do that again. So 50 pre-orders - I need like 300 to make this happen, plus getting adverts in a recession has proven difficult. No one is interested!

Lesson learnt. Should have stuck to what I said in a post 6 months ago - no more projects!! :D

Soz Greyfox - we did talk about this last night though so this was not news to you and your obviously looking at it from your point of view and the time you believe wasted on this. At the end of the day you have no financial risk with this. If you want to carry this on, then I am happy to hand everything over to you, including the £150. Let me know.

Well that's a bugger, sorry to hear about it.

Got no problems with my money going to Haiti though, no sir.

Maybe you could post what "could-have-been" as a PDF? Or a CBR?

Chris, maybe you should try to make peace with yourself, and then your enemies.

You may find that stuff, projects, THINGS flow much more smoothly once you've done that.

Own your shadow.
