Favourite LPs?

L7 - Bricks are Heavy
Masters of Reality - Eponymous debut
Led Zeppelin - I, II and III
Merciful Fate - Melissa
Add N (to X) - Metal Fingers in my Body
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss
Kraftwerk - The Man Machine
Depeche Mode - Speak and Spell
Metallica - And Justice...
Megadeth - Peace Sells...
The Clash - London Calling
Jarre - Equinoxe, Zoolook and Oxygene

That'll do for starters. Not much contemporary music as I try and give an album at least a few years before I accord it with 'favourite' status...

No particular albums as such (I find most to contain the singles and filler) but I listen a lot to the following;

Associates, Echo & Bunnymen, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Julian Cope, Killers, Morrissey, New Order, Oasis, Pet Shop Boys, That Petrol Emotion, The Fall, 80's stuff and most indie/britpop.

Like LeeT I don't have a list of particular fav albums - I've got all my music MP3d up so I just tend to shuffle/random play.

Depending on my mood I'll listen to/skip past:

most 80s synth-based
Depeche Mode
Erasure
Enya
Yazoo / Alison Moyet
Billy Idol
Blink 182
Coldplay
David Gray
Eurythmics
Foo Fighters
George Michael
Green Day
INXS (especially like the new line-up)
Jean-Michel Jarre
Keane
Ladytron
Leftfield
Marilyn Manson
mesh
Midge ure / Ultravox
New Order
Sisters of Mercy
Moby
Oasis
OMD
PSB
Recoil
Sterophonics
Tears for Fears
U2
Tangerine Dream
Visage
Talk Talk
Simple Minds

A bit varied I know - that's the ones I'm willing to share!! hahahahah

I like to listen to pretty much everything, barring hip hop & ballad stuff like Westlife etc. I can listen to Marilyn Manson one minute, then Abba or The Bee Gees the next. I went through a heavy metal phase about 10 years ago, followed by a dance music phase - now I just flip between them all. Duran Duran, Roxy Music, U2, Madonna are also favourites.

Although if I had to choose one band, it would be Queen. :)

A huge list of bands I like, and very eclectic tastes. Last couple of days I've been listening to U2.

Can I also recommend www.last.fm
I use the Audioscrobbler plugin (username - merman) which generates a list of what you are listening to. You can find people with similar tastes, listen to tracks online and join/create groups.

A smiliar link is pandora.com. Input a song or band/artist, and it will play similar artists/bands that fit the bill. Seems to have a very wide and eclectic range, as well.

That's a good site - no registration, simply enter an artist and listen - i'll be bookmarking that.

I have no favourite music, artist or album.

If it's good = I'll listen.

If it's bad = I'll not listen.

In otherwords, I'll listen to most stuff other than rap/dance/house/whatever it's called nowadays type music...

Mostly extreme metal such as,

Nile, Converge, Slayer, Sepultura, Neurosis, Dillinger Escape Plan, Heaven Shall Burn, Earth Crisis, Discharge, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed and a whole load of other stuff that people probably haven't heard of.

If im not listening to that it will be more noraml stuff like Johnny Cash, Elvis, The Bravery and alot of Drum and Bass stuff or some classical music.

I've got really weird music tastes im told.

try me hehe - i love it when people say that.

I'm a collector of music - mainly metal and punk - but anything else that sounds good/original.

Would list my faves - but it's like late - find me on last.fm - gives a half decent pictue.
Abandonrom Paradise - Back one day.....

At the moment, Im listening to copious amounts of The Album Leaf. Absolutely beautiful music.

Radiohead's still number one though, as it seems it shall always be.
