i dont mean to sound offensive because i appreciate that the same newbie threads over and over again are annoying as hell, but i think you missed my point.
these threads appear constantly because, people are always looking for a good batch of games to get their hands on if they're looking to get into a new platform. they're never satisfied authoritavely. if there was one good list, people could link to it and, end-of-discussion.
the greatest magazine ever (in my opinion), Your Sinclair, ended its run with an excellent, tear-inducing, definitive top 100. its like closing the book and saying "this is the best the spectrum could do. this is why we fell in love with it."
i think because retro gamer deals exclusively with old computers & consoles, its in a unique position to create lists like this across every platform.

that would probably be the ideal, but then theres a lot to be said about getting a small group of experts (like ex magazine reviewers) round a table to formulate a good list. for example, there's just one guy at
retro sanctuary but he's come up with some really good informative lists, and obviously knows his stuff. but then in a group vote his voice would have the same weight as ZeldaSux3000 who had 8 games.
anyway I've tried to sell this enough, if nobody really thinks its worth it then so be it
