Yaaawnnnn... got to admit though, spammers are starting to get a little bit cleverer...

Are we, um, allowed to promote our own websites in this thread? If so... NES fans can check out Nintendo Legend to keep tabs on my quest to play and review every American-released NES video game (over 750 total), along with other occasional entertaining content besides the reviews.
Nintendo Legend -- one retro gamer's quest to play and review every NTSC-region NES game!

My favorite retro-gaming shirt -- "Pipe Dreams"

Pssst: Use promo code “NLegend” at J2Games.com for 20% off! New titles, classic carts, whatever!

Okay, i've found a site that sells retro computers, consoles games, http://www.retrotechuk.com. They have some good stuff on there which is quite hard to come by, especially their Atari 8-bit tapes.

Shameless plug for my own site (plus some others I really love)...

Mine is here:-
http://www.retroisle.com

But I'm about to start working on a home-built arcade machine, so the following sites are getting my interest at the mo:

http://www.tmsoft.com/article-arcade.htm
http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm

Of course you can't beat these for awesome retro gaming sites:

On that note if someone wants some SNES, PS1 or Saturn reviews I'd be happy to oblige :D

I could always use more game reviews on my site... send me an example

I also have a new Facebook page that pulls off the articles on my site which is pretty cool.

Hope it's ok if I post this here, it's not exactly a website, but a long online article that I put a lot of time into. The first part (of three) was just published on Gamasutra, titled "Where Games Go To Sleep - The Game Preservation Crisis". The highlight of the whole article (which is in the third and final part but is written about briefly in part one) is how 14 different developers, out of the 61 I contacted, reveal how they're preserving thier video games. Some developers reveal what they've saved, but also what games they've actually lost.

The second part details how museums are doing thier part in preserving games, and even a little segment about how I failed in gathering interest in a Japan-based video game museum.

The second and final third part will be published in the next several weeks before GDC

Enjoy!:

Ah, I thought I recognized the name. You stirred quite a discussion on the game preservation mailing list ;) Anyways, quite looking foward to the upcoming parts, it's always good to see preservation efforts in the spotlight.
