It's track 23 in the soundtrack dumps available (from SNESmusic etc), it's the clock tower level jumping on the cogs...

I always thought there was a slightly goofy quality to the music in Super Castlevania. It's catchy and I like it, but I wouldn't exactly call it "chilling" either.

I liked the chandelier stage. Very much like the music that accompanies silent-era horror films...

Especially the end of the 3rd stage as Simon travels through the flooded roman-esque "city"....

Most of the music is pretty decent and it is hard to just choose one tune. I played through the game again last month and at this time I'll plump for Vampire Killer as the "best tune".

They're all great, but for me personally it has to be Simon's Theme. Love hearing the metal covers of it on Youtube.

I was going to say the music from level 3.2 as it feels the most doom and gloom in the game but I really love the music which kicks in about halfway through the fight with Dracula (which I believe may also be the first level music). It just feels very climatic and yeah, come on.

I have never actually played this with the sound up...wow.

There are a lot of games that I never played with the sound because my grandparents would moan, this includes every game I first played on Emulation, which is a huge number, one of the many, many reasons I resent my grandfather.

*Goes off to replay it on the Wii*
