Current or Retro?

Retro Gamer tried doing it, but it seems to have died a death. A shame as there was a shaky start followed by marked improvement.

Right now, Retro Gaming Roundup covers a lot of bases, but its a huge sprawl of a show. I like it, but you might just want to listen to an individual segment as every month it spans about 4 hours!

Retronauts has its moments. Each episode is themed round a particular game, series or genre and its a freeform discussion with the hosts. Can be entertaining when it gets into its stride.

Not sure I've got any other current ones that do reviews as such.

You can always go back and track down past episodes of Weekend Gamer, RetroGaming Radio etc.

Retronauts is a great one, there's a lot of old episodes to go over and it's still running (sadly Retro Gaming Radio is no more).

For more current stuff I listen to the Giant Bombcast, RebelFM, The Geekbox as well as the Gamer Dork podcast.

I tried to do my own. I started more talking about things like is piracy always a bad thing, why its foolish to be a fanboy etc but was going to move on to reviews but ended up getting a throat chest and sinus infection then they thought i had pnemonia and in the end it kind of grinded me to a halt as i couldnt record enough to get it done ..

I managed two episodes and may return to it and follow my ideas when my health takes an up turn and my time increases

Digital Cowboys has its moments. Check out the episodes with Dominik Diamond and Iain Lee (unless you're one of those RG readers with an irrational hatred of Iain Lee).

I can vouch for the Giant Bombcast. While it is definitely not retro, it is one of the best videogaming podcasts out there being both informative and entertaining.

I'm pretty new to podcasts, and I haven't yet found a retro gaming podcast that makes me want to subscribe. However, in terms of current games, I've found a couple that I enjoy.

Mid Life Gamer has a nice community feel to it, and Giant Bombcast is very funny.

Another vote here for the Bombcast, it's hilarious. A few in jokes but you'll soon pick it up.

World 1 Stage 1 is good each episode centers around a game or series off games, All Geb Gamers is ok too however I think they are still working out some bugs in that show. The CAGcast is one off my favs I know i lot off people hate Cheapy D but its good for a laugh.
