Another good issue. The highlight for me was the Teque/Krisalis piece, but I also really enjoyed the Gary Penn interview and the two big history features on Bubble Bobble and Resident Evil.

Too lazy to read the thread, but anyone mentioned the top 5 singles in Back to the Eighties being years out?

Loved the Speccy collectors bit, but not keen on you showing us the tapes of the best games but no screenshot :?

RB wrote:Not sure why the July 89 was used instead of August 82 - that was the singles chart from six issues ago! Here's the chart I submitted that should've been used for all you pop-picking completists...

August 1982 - Music Singles Chart
1. Come On Eileen (Dexy’s Midnight Runners)
2. Eye Of The Tiger (Survivor)
3. Fame (Irene Cara)
4. Don’t Go (Yazoo)
5. It Started With A Kiss (Hot Chocolate)

Not a bad week, I'm partial to 4 out of 5 of those.

Quality Issue.

Love the Bubble Bobble feature, nice to see the back to the 80's is stll going and far better than last months IMO

BUT THERE IS A GLARING TYPO IN THE BACK TO THE 80's

I'm sure i'll get some stick for noticing but the Top 5 Music were songs released in 1989! :D Seriously, if Sonia was number one in 1982 then she has aged incredibly well, and as for the London Boys, we should all be ashamed for getting the into the top 5 in the first place. Its a big old typo that, just thought i'd point it out

No, but you might get some stick for not noticing it first!!

Hey guys, I don't know if you noticed, right, but there's this great error in Back To The Eighties this month...

Ahem.

Another terrific issue. I particularly like the Bubble Bobble and Krisalis features but there's a great balance throughout the mag and I also found the Gary Penn interview of interest too.

Arrived yesterday. Not read it yet, but thumbed through it. Great to see Olly interviewed about his world record Twin Galaxies score. He's a top bloke, very knowledgable, very humble. Deserves the recognition. I don't know anyone who doesn't like Bubble Bobble. I have a lot of faith I'm going to enjoy reading this issue. Good work guys.

Re: The Speccy feature...I'm not convinced that Sly Spy Secret Agent on the Speccy actually got a full price retail release, despite the fact that it was completed and reviewed. I searched everywhere for it at the time it was meant to be first out with no success, though I eventually got the Hit Squad budget release. So when the feature says the original Ocean release is tough to locate, I'd actually say 'impossible', unless anybody actually has it, or can verify it even exists with a photo?

I enjoyed the Bubble Bobble & Gary Penn articles and nice to see some Spectrum coverage too. The FIFA article was worth a read as well.
