The Raiders who are 4-2 have a home game, could be 5-2 which would have been incredible. Backup QB starts and is dire, the Raiders then rush their new QB in who has only had a week of practice and it shows and they lose at home 28-0, terrible.

Always happens with my team, just as you think theyre turning the corner this happens. Its good theyve got a bye week but its going to be a long two weeks with the media slating Oakland. Gutted watching that crap last night

Not a good Sunday all round for you eh Paul?

49'ers week off, good Jets result Mire, Dolphins hit in OT and I'm glad none of us like the Colts.. :)

Jets game was great!. Well, the second half anyway! Slow start again, but better than they have been. There were a couple of mistakes that we didn;t get away with and Chargers turned into points. It's the most cohesive I've seen the Jets look and the win feels even better as SD are a good team. Bye week next week and then Buffalo!!

I couldn't believe what I was reading when I saw the Oakland score. A bad day at the office indeed! The bye week is probably at the right time but not sure how much it'll help bed in the new guy.

I see it's the Browns for you next Boggy. Could be a tough match up. A bit of an aside but, could that team have a name any worse than the Browns!? Hardly an inspiring name! I'll add that I have no idea of the reason behind the name and it may well be very appropriate to Cleveland and in fact to those in the 'know' it may be very inspiring. In my purile moments it just make me snigger.

Colts got hammered! I haven't seen a score like that for a while.

Yep the Raiders were shocking, the next two weeks will determine whether the Raiders have a good year or not. Palmer has to have two great weeks of learning the playbook, the Raiders 'should' beat Denver (who had an amazing comeback considering they were dire for 57 minutes)

The Raiders should have more players back from injury so we'll see, but saying that i thought they would beat KC. The backup Kyle Boller is shocking though !

Jets game was odd, first half they looked terrible, surprised they came back, big game for Sanchez's confidence.

Weird this weekend with the Raiders having a bye, but has come at a great time

Yeah, only my boys playing and they managed another win, against the comedy named Browns.. I have no idea of why they are called that either, must google it.. :)

Happy with the 49'ers atm, looking really solid and are grinding out results...

Roll on next week.

I didn't see the SF score when I looked and thought they were off this week too. Anyway, totally agree. SF have impressed so far this season. I was listening to espn1050 earlier this morning and they were discussing how good the 49ers, along with a few other teams, have been. The general opinion of the 49ers is that they're just shy of being right up there with Green Bay. No bad thing at all.

I can't wait for Sunday - early kick off Jets vs Bills. Damn exciting! I think I'm going to get Game Pass as PSJ suggested.

One of the worst Raider games i've ever seen. 17-7 up at halftime, all looks good, second half allow 31 second half points, get hammered at home 38-24 by the Donks.

Offensively Palmer did alright, Hue Jacksons play calling is predictable, was an offensive genius last year. But the defense was shocking, a few weeks ago Oakland were 4-2 and looked great, now its terrible. Seasons over if (sorry when) they lose this Thursday against SD

Sometimes i wish i was a bandwagon New England fan or something as this Oakland crap is just annoying me now. Its 00.45am, tired, fed up after the game and now its a week of work, oh great. I hate supporting my team sometimes !

A mixed week for RG NFL fans. I saw the halftime Raiders score and thought they were cruising to a victory too. Did they crumble or did Denver turn up the heat? Another win for Boggy's boys though!

Jets won an exciting game. The defence, throughout the whole game, was massive and barely put a foot wrong. Offence again took a while to get going, but it did get going. Running and passing is starting to click and it's good to see Burress hitting some kind of form. Sanchez looked cool and unruffled but still made a couple of big mistakes - endzone interception was an absolute howler of an error. I expected a much closer game and wasn't confident of a win based on recent form so I'm delighted with the result. It's a good point in the season for things to start falling into place.

I caught the end of the Giants vs Patriots game. That was a great ending! I was gutted when NE scored with less than 2 minutes to go and then elated moments later when NY scored to win. Awesome stuff and NE lose 2 straight. No doubt they'll be bouncing back hard and it's Jets vs NE next weekend. Huge, huge game and I can't wait.

You guys may have already seen this, but if you haven't it's the Sanchez 'flinch' moment. Oh dear

psj3809 wrote:You should get nfl.com/gamepass ! The archive is one of the best things (all the adverts taken out, watch the games whenever you want) and now theres the 'compact' button where it basically shows you all the plays without replays, can watch a 'whole' game in 30 mins.

I bought my GamePass a couple of weeks back. I'm impressed with the coverage though disapointed that Jets vs Bills was blacked out over here - probably because Sky were showing the game. I managed to watch it using other methods. Anyway, seems there are a few blackouts over the weeks. You're right about the archive, it's brilliant. I've really enjoyed being able to go back through all the weeks and watch highlights. Great stuff. Even better, I can use Gamepass on my iPhone and it streams on 3g.

I didn't expect to get NFL Network and although it's like Sky Sports with 100% NFL it's pretty good. I've had this channel on in the backgroud while I'm working. Theye showing a tribute to Al Davis on this Thursday.

That all sounds good Mire, I will look into it..

As you said it was another good win for the 49'ers, just glad they are now in the winning habit.. it's taken many years to get back to this state, but it could prove to be a masterstroke getting Jim Harbaugh to be coach..

Your guys seem to be getting better, but Paul's Raiders are proving inconsistent.. but hopefully things will improve soon.

Cheers

Yeah NFL Gamepass is great, annoying the Sky games are blacklisted but i can see why, previous years you couldnt watch the game live but could watch it a day later. Now theres about a 3 or 4 day blackout rule, still all the other games are watchable. The 'compact' button or whatever its called is great, cuts out everything apart from the plays so you can 'watch' a game in 30 minutes which is useful.

I find it hard now avoiding scores ! Havent been on my twitter feed all week as i've got tons of NFL stuff on it, just watched Bears/Eagles on Gamepass last night so now i can go back to checking websites/this thread/twitter !

Tonight is a HUGE game for the Raiders, Raiders at Chargers. I dont think Oakland will win but its a huge game, i'm hoping they'll come out and after the second half embarassment last week come out fired up. I'm too old now to stay up till 4am (Used to !) but i'll avoid the score and watch it on Gamepass early tomorrow morning (Or if its on Sky i'll Sky+ it)

9am tomorrow i'll either be really happy or really wound up ! I wish i wasnt into the NFL too much, if the Raiders lose i'm in a foul mood all week, if they win i'm super happy. Wish i didnt care so much !!!

But sunday nights at 6pm with any game i want to watch practically, great times !

Edit - Sky are showing the Thursday night games so that 'might' mean they wont be on gamepass until a few days later which is useless. I'll find out tomorrow

Well that reminded me of the old days, staying up till silly o clock to watch/listen to Raiders games

Got up at 1.30am and watched the game till 4.50am when it ended, bit tired today ;)

But when your team wins its so worth it. Dominating first half by the Raiders, second half they made some mistakes and it was far closer than it should have been but a huge win for the Raiders. This is how they should have played the last week or two, but their QB Carson Palmer is looking much better now and confident with the playbook. Huge game by Michael Bush. Always said i was a big fan of Bush ;)

But very happy with the win, can now relax/be happy for 10 days till the next game. More grey hairs last night but when your team wins a close one its a great feeling.

Went to bed and got up at 01.30 for the match... now there's a commited fan! I avoided this thread and the scores until I'd watched the game today. It was certainly worth watching! Great win and top of your division. I wasn't sure how it would go before hand but SD looked a bit flakey and Raiders capitalised.

Jets vs Pats are the late game on Sunday but, due to work commitments on Monday at 09.30, I think I'll watch the game on Monday night. Unless I can move that appointment

Like i say i dont normally, the season opener was even later, think maybe 2.30am start finishing about 6am. So sadly for that one i avoided the score and watched it on NFL Gamepass. Thats one of the best things about Gamepass, the archive for the games. As i work at home i tend to have a game in the background but its tricky avoiding scores ! Sounds crazy pressing mute when they have a 'game break' and turning away or having some black card at the bottom of my monitor hiding the ticker tape of scores !

Hope the Jets win on sunday night, should be a great one. Cant stand the Man Utd glory hunting Pats and their fans. Huge game for both teams, cant believe NE are 5-3, two straight losses, a third would be nice. As for Oakland they have a 'winnable' game against the Vikes but i thought that about Denver/KC and they lost those !
