I'm pleased! An art book! Woohoo :)
Not fussed about losing MGS1 (since it was a download only), and quite a nice gesture for a free copy of MGS4 platinum. (though which I already have the non-plat of anyway).

There's also mention of a 360 version being made available (it's on the Zavvi site but 'sold out'). It might not be as limited release now?

 This is really depressing. A lot of folk lucky enough to get this will just be wanting to sell it on for a huge profit, wheras poor souls like me only want it to drool over. With MGS's massive fan base tey really should be releasing more of these editions. Make enough so as everybody that wants one, gets one, and without having to 200 quid for the privilege.

But then it wouldn't be a limited edition would it.

Hhmm. That's the same artbook that the US got & I want! :P Wonder if they'll extend this edition to other shops such as GAME/Amazon?

My gut feeling is that it'll stay as a Zavvi exclusive, but not limited to 4000 (probably a lot more, but enough to still be 'limited'), and also available for 360 & PS3.

Its being marketed as the 'Ultimate' edition. For me an ultimate edition should be available to everybody that wants it. The word ultimate has nothing to do with the word limited.

I'm clutching at straws here eh

This was discussed yesterday on the Playstation Collecting forum too, I think it's a much nicer package than originally announced. Zavvi are still being sketchy about the nature of this release though, it's still listed as sold out so presumably that means of there will be 4000 copies of this LE unless they open up more preorders or other retailers get an opportunity to sell it.

I think they'll deffo have some more at some point, as they have a 360 SKU now which they never had before, so at the very least there'll be some 360 ones. I'd imagine they're just trying to secure their numbers first.

And no worries about the GTA mixup, just did a double take there for a sec! ;)

Just picked up Dungeons and Dragons Collection for the Sega Saturn, which though not quite as rare as my copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga, is still up there.
