I'm enjoying the game and being a fan of the whole series I'm finding it great seeing how it all started and the origins of the Master Sword etc. but there are a few little things that I've found frustrating like when you start your game it has to tell you all over again the description of the treasure and insects. I think it did that with the rupee amounts in Ocarina of Time 3D too. If they are already in your inventory we don't need to read it again.
Also the game is an extremely slow starter running around while people of Skyloft explain the controls for an hour and half at the beginning. Wouldn't it of been better just to have a optional training tutorial for people new to Zelda games? Sometimes I asked myself why am I doing this like running around finding the little Kikwas in Faron Woods near the beginning when you could be getting into some proper action.
I know it’s a Wii and I wasn’t expecting full HD graphics but I can't help but feel a little disappointed in the graphics. It looks great when you’re not moving and things are close but when you’re moving fast and things are in the distance things look horrible like running towards the Fire Sanctuary. It’s all jagged lines and looks a mess. Sometimes they seem like GameCube graphics. I was playing with a component cable in 480p and things didn’t look right so I searched the internet and found other people thought the same. I switched back to a composite cable and am now playing in 480i (60Hz) and it has defiantly improved. You would think component would be better over composite. I tried 576i (50Hz) out of curiosity and it ran very slowly. On the back of the box it says it is supported by 50Hz/60Hz and EDTV/HDTV but you couldn't play it in 50Hz that slow. I’m now thinking the component cable was a waste of money because I haven’t really seen a big improvement on graphics with any Wii games apart from maybe Twilight Princess and some VC games are incompatible with it even with the component cable interlace mode e.g. Zelda 2.
But as I say I’m a huge fan of the series and I am enjoying the game. The bird flying is great and I love the diving. Though still can’t get the baby's rattle from the birds nest.

The Beetle too is a great addition and a worthy replacement for the Boomerang especially when it’s upgraded. Am I right in thinking this is the 1st Zelda game without the Boomerang?
