Looking forward to Ninja Gaiden 3, Lollipop Chainsaw and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance*. Would be ace if the new Onechanbara game comes over here too! Not really too excited about Asura's Rage, though.
It is kinda disingenious to reduce this genre to 'button mashing' IMO; try that crap on Ninja Gaiden and see how far you get! Games that do this well demand a huge amount of spacial awareness from players, and the ability to switch-up their tactics on the fly. It's a limited skill-set, sure, but going with that reasoning, you could call bullet-hell shmups 'dodge-em-ups'.![]()

Mixes Dynasty Warriors with the anime One Piece.
THIS IS NOT A BAD THING! (still waiting for the Fist of the north star one to go sub £10)

Warriors Orochi 2 was one of my fave. Wasn't to impressed with DW6 and havnt tried 7 yet. DW Gundam 3 looks ok (despite awful reviews but then again all DW games tend to get 5/10 or lower).
thinking about QTE's in games... i'm pretty sure Shenmue was the first game i played that had them.
