Sorry to hear about your work problems sscott. I hope things get better for you. Just look at this way - at least you don't have to work at my old secondary school!

Sorry ThingOnASpring, I missed that post. You'll bounce back ;)

I like to think of my first marriage as a necessary trial to get where I am now. Had that not happened I may never have met Mrs Ant.

Found today my job is safe for a bit longer.

Had sparring tonight for the first time, to begin 5 days of pain and torment. Lost against my Lance Commander (group leader) in a spar, 6-4, but seeing as I've never fought before, it was pretty awesome for me to even get one hit.
Been invited back for an invite-only training session tomorrow evening, so they must see some potential in me and then at the weekend, it's off to Glasgow for a three day training event in sword and buckler (which I used tonight for the first time, amazing weapons), Hutton's Great Stick (never used, specialist demonstration) and longsword (which is what I know best).

I am hurting so much right now but I think I might die before I finish this week.

The bank gave you a cheque to take to the bank? That seems somewhat redundant.

It was a cheque related to a closed account.

I was right to be edgy about my brother's dog - he's just bit my mum quite badly.
She's DEFINITELY had enough of it now, first the constant p1ss, sh1t and vomit, then the trail of destruction, now this.

Hate to say "I told you so", but...

Just went on a training weekend with my HEMA group, was awesome. I've improved three-thousand-fold at everything and have incredible bruises.
Here is a video of swords (krumphau attack specifically). This isn't actually us (Slovakians are crazy/brilliant as anything), but we try to train at this intensity when we get going. Possibly with a wee bit more protection.

Here are some pictures of my sparring arms. Every discolouration is a large bruise, which don't show up on camera too well.

Today well technically yesterday my trackball mouse gave up working all of a sudden.

Back to using a 360 pad programmed as a mouse.
