Cannot find a copy of Ridge Racer 2 anywhere.

I almost had a copy for a fiver in GAME but they'd sold it in the RR box and only had the UMD/instructions for the first game

I had the same thing when i went to buy Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. they couldnt find the cart but they had a copy of the second game with no box. The girl at the till tried to flog it to me anyway and said it doesnt really matter as its a similar game!

Anyway back on topic, received Darkstalkers today. Very pleased so far. I like the basic combo system and see now why the characters are well suited to MvC. My only problem with fighting games on the PSP is that i mash sometimes, and when i do i cant see the screen!

Mine is fine on it. A lot of games like God of War and Kingdom Hearts will run the machine at that clock speed naturally. It is designed to be flexible.

Has anyone ever increased their PSP CPU speed to 333mhz? Does it actually make any difference? Did your PSP melt?

The PSP is designed to run at 333Mhz, so all you're doing is making the system run at the CPU stock speed.

They're underclocked by default to save battery power. Initially they were all locked at the lower speed, but after a while Sony let developers flick it up to the higher speed from within their code.

Makes sense to underclock by default, since watching a video, listening to MP3s, looking at pictures or using the web browser really doesn't need much power.

It can make games noticeably smoother running. That in turn can reduce the blur on PSP screens (especially the original models like mine). The faster speed allows more fps, which means less changes between frames, which means less obvious after image.

I don't think I've lowered the speed on my PSP since I first CFWed it way back in the v2 days. Makes little difference for new games but some of the old faves like Wipeout and GTA are better for it.

Soreyuke! Burunyon-Man Portable looks kind of fun, giving off a Parodius-type vibe. Although apparently it started life as a mini-game in some grot game or other so could be awful!

Thats Grand Knights looks lovely. There are some really nice PSP RPG boxes around.

Been playing Manhunt2 - I liked the first half but got a bit bored halfway through. Still, it only cost a fiver and I got my enjoyment out of it so can't complain!

You can run import UMD games on ANY PSP, CFW or not - they're not region locked.
