I went for the original as the Saturn version is only Resi game I own. But to be honest I have never really enjoyed any of the Resident Evil games that I have played.

Went for original Resident Evil-Really wish Capcom had taken the Game Cube remake, given a going over with the HD brush and put it out on PSN/XBL with Move support etc.

Vote purely based on hours i poured into the original, then the D.cut, followed by the G.C remake (which still drips with atmosphere).Revelations does indeed look splendid though.

Its got to be the original. I really like Revelations and how it returns to the slower paced gameplay of the older games but I just like everything the original did - bosses, enemies, puzzles, funny yet terrible dialogue (plus REmake took all that, added even more and brushed up the gameplay and visuals considerably)

I don't understand how anyone can enjoy the horrid tank controls of the pre-RE4 titles.

Haven't played the new one, but it can't be worse than the first. Most overrated game in history.

Originals. Revelations is a great game in it's own right and I like it more than Resi 4 and 5. Tank controls all the way :)

Probably the original, but I've yet to put that much time into Revelations so my opinion might change.

Hate hate **HATE** all the Resident Evil games. All the ones I've played I find so boring.

Haven't played the Resident Evil Revelations yet as it only came out less than a week + no cash on me at the moment so I can't give you a opinion!
But I still think the original is still the best & Resi Evil 2 is a close second!

Played Revelations at a friend's and although it's good, it's not as good as the best remake ever made: Resident Evil (GC).

i am dying to play Revelations, havent yet so cannot comment. RE4 is in my opinion the greatest game ever made and if any of the new ones come even close to that then they get my vote. Although that said, RE5 was a total travesty and I held picketed protests because of this, and they wouldn't respond to my letters thelling them to start all over again and deliver me a better game, damn them.

Neither imo stand out, the first one improved on Alone In The Dark in every way and was pretty groundbreaking, but the controls still let it down, the rest for me havent made me buy back into the series ever since.

I remember like it was yesterday... Playing the RE... When one of the rooms began to fill with water, and the shark came ... Good times ... With lots of scares! :D
