Yes! And always when I want to collect Alex to assist with coin collection. Soooooo infuriating! Trying to then hit the bell again sufficient times to get it back to what you want, or just trying to collect a sequence of yellow and finding enemies between you and the bell as it reappears from the side of the screen.... Bah!

do very much enjoy this game, though. Hope it is randomly chosen over in Retroleague; though I know I will not have a chance of winning that particular week - someone called Today is Forgotten has practically every shooter wrapped up!

The first bell on the first stage is your best bet, as there aren't many enemies about and you only have a puny shot so it's hard to overshoot. The second stage is a nightmare for grabbing all the bells, I'm constantly shooting bells into walls.

A couple of times I've actually had a completely empty screen with nothing to shoot at. Just a bell drifting towards me and my brain has gone "SHOOT!".

Then a second later, after having done so, I think "Wait...WHAT?!"

...But when I got back I thought...well...one or two (hundred) goes....

This was only my second time on Stage 6, but I think I got quite far (despite shaking the whole time and thinking "aaahhhhhhh!" )

I probably didn't get as far as I think I did and/or you won't be able to tell from this picture, but here's where I died:

So that's what the background to stage 6 is supposed to look like! You must have survived a fair while if the time was down to 64 seconds. Tantalizingly close to an extra life too.

Anyway, I've not seen the nicovideo replay but saucykobold's score is amazing. It's extremely difficult to get purple bells at the right point with mambo as your lasers hit them multiple times. I've been throwing a few credits at my old strategy but nothing's really come of it. I'm toying with the idea of switching back to Koitsu and seeing what I can achieve in the time we have left.

What did the stage 6 background look like for you?

Presumably just getting that bell strategy right on stage 1 would be enough. I can get 367k before the end of stage 3, but not 1

I am getting pretty tired of this game now though, so if it doesn't work out I doubt I'll ever revisit it at a later date
