Help a computer luddite please

Postby rapidly-greying on Wed Feb 22, 2012 7:21 pm

Ok,i've sussed how to put pictures on the forum that i've taken elsewhere from the net.but I dont have a scooby doo how to put pictures that I have taken and put them on the forum.

I'd like to be able to take a picture on my phone and post it online, but I cant work out what to do.

I can send a photo to orange photo but when I go to it,there doesn't seem to be a url for me to copy and paste the photo.

Honestly i'm totally clueless about this sort of thing so any help would be great. What about if I made myself a facebook page and uploaded my pictures to that, could I then copy the picture to this forum. I want to take pictures of my collectors stuff.

can you transfer the pictures to a computer or laptop?

if you can,use a picture hosting site,i'm no computer genius but i found photobucket very easy to use and never had a problem.

Photobucket has apps for most smartphones, see the download links at the bottom of the page here:

Photobucket is what I've used for years on PC. Upload photos to photobucket, then under each picture there is a link you click. You then just paste that into the text of your forum post and it'll show the picture here.
I assume the apps automate that first stage of uploading to Photobucket.

I take it 'rapidly greying' is a reference to your beard, though its unusual to go grey at that young an age ;)

Its a reference to all my head/face related hair. Though I must confess that I cant actually grow a beard,it stops growing at the medium length stubble stage.

Paul Hardcastle told us that 19 was the average age of a soldier in Vietnam, whereas to me its the age I started greying :D
