My 69p Pikmin 2 (at Cash Convertors) was the best GameCube deal I'd ever heard about...until now.

That's a phenominal pick-up - you've instantly got a GameCube collection that many would be jealous of!

Thank you for all the input. I literally had no interest in the Gamecube until I had one for Christmas off my missus. I knew I had these cheap, but have just been on eBay and didn't realise what some of these titles reach! I am playing my way through them slowly, so far though its Viewtiful Joe that has really blown me away, I'd always fancied that game but never played it.

I don't know if I should put Mario Kart, Paper Mario and Zelda WW on eBay or if I should give them a good home to someone who will really appriciate them. I'll have to have a think over the weekend.

On another note, I am impressed by the Gamecube, more-so than I ever thought I would be. Even the controller which I always thought looked cumbersome is quite nice to handle. I think I might become a Gamecube convert!

In a place where alot of us are unable to find such bargains like these as cash converters and good charity shops are few and far between, would it have been so hard just to stick to the dedicated cash converter thread , or the game pickup thread? Creating a separate thread for a bunch of games that you know was an amazing find, will be a thread to instill jealousy and nothing more.

All your thread has reminded me of is the fact that I live nowhere near a bargain shop, so well done.

And I'm sure you'd be one of the first, if not the first to put in a claim for all the best/harder to find games there almost immediately had he put them in a For Sale thread, as I've noticed you do a fair few times before.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that mate, BTW...that's the way things work on forum sale threads...first come, first served....but there's nothing wrong with a guy being pleased about a load of bargains like that he found, gives a little more hope to the rest of us that we might actually find stuff in our local tat shops one day instead of the usual 2000 copies of unwanted FIFA games.

I mean, Paper Mario, SSB, Luigi's Mansion, MK Double Dash, Wind Waker and Pikmin each for 99p or less?! I dread to think what I paid for only half that lot.

There's a Cash Converters in Selby where I sometimes work. They have about half a dozen GC games - the rarest being Batman Begins, which is hardly gold dust - and they go for up to a fiver each. Am I looking in the wrong Cash Converters or something?

That's life though isn't it. My CEX is full of Mario Kart's and R.E.4 for £15 each. I very rarely see anything of interest. Saying that, this thread has re-ignited my interest in looking for some Cube stuff again.

It very much depends on whos running the stores though. The CC in Boscombe for example has had the same copy of Star Gladiator on PS1 at £7 as long as ive been going there, yet the one in poole pretty much prices anything that isnt current gen at £2. Some employees clearly check Ebay prices and run on that.

Dont be discouraged che_don_john. Id found nothing of interest after years of trawling my local charity shops in Wimborne until last year when i found a similar Gamecube haul. Good things come to those who wait.

Funnily enough i noticed the same thing. Been very jealous of a few bargains you have had on this very site!

More than anything i was impressed with the haul and you can gloat all you want. You deserve to!

Not fussed on Paper Mario? I'm not really a big Nintendo fan, and even I loved that! Must buy myself another copy, actually...

It's a good job i already have them all, or i'd be green too!

Always nice to find a bargain. :D Our local CC has a few GC games in for a couple of quid..stuff like Second Sight, Wrestlemania X8, FIFA 06...nothing exciting really. (else they wouldn't be there  )

Another 'cube convert. I like it. Buy a Wavebird...best controller in existence (waits for the flamethrowers to start) and a GB PLayer and you're all set!

Aww. Second Sight deserves better than to be grouped with FIFA 06 and WrestleMania X8. It's a good game that people never gave the time. *Sheds a solitary Indian tear*

I will be honest, i have never played it. Once i've finished the GC set i shall be taking time out from buying, to actually sit down and play some of them :D I shall make a point of putting it towards the top of the list.

Ah totally, I only mean it in jest. It's a fantastic haul and it's good to know that people are still getting lucky. It's also nice to know that a collector/enthusiast picked up this particular lot and not some scallywag who's only interest would be to whack them on ebay and sell them at inflated prices!
