No idea. I'm struggling to read the signs because of the low resolution (800 something? Fishing?), because I need every clue I can get.

Is it definitely a Japanese game? Because it could easily be Chinese, in which case I think we're all screwed.

Very good sleuthing there. It is indeed the kanji for angling on the lower sign. The upper sign is yaoya, meaning greengrocer's (literally 'eight hundred shop', so two out of three ain't bad there).

Great, so it's an RPG with a town in it.

That narrows it down.

Afraid not, there's no fishing in Mother.

As my girlfriend would say, "Don't think too much".

You must have heard the English title though - Legend of the River King? The GBC version is excellent, but has a hilarious and unnecessary battle system which has you punching a grizzly bear with your childish fish, and then losing, watching the bear carry off the rainbow trout you just spent 4 hours trying to catch. Aside from that it's a very relaxing game - fans of Harvest Moon should give it a go.

There is no way I am ever going to get a jap game! Also, add me to the 'never heard of that game' group!!
