how to add custom firmware to a PSP?

so yeah, i have been thinking about adding CFW to my psp, and now that i have a Vita i would very much like to make it happen. so yeah... how do you do it? does anyone on here have the tools to make it possible?

hmm is there a cleaner way? i dont fancy opening up the battery and cutting stuff up. so much can go wrong.

I used the ChickHen method. It's a bit fiddly to get working and you have to fiddle about if you properly turn your PSP off rather than just put it into standby mode, but it does the job.

If you have an early PSP you don't need to mod the battery to make it into a Pandora. My PSP1000 battery has been a Pandora a couple of times in the past. Its only on later models once the exploit was known that Sony changed the battery design to lock you out.

If its the phat PSP its just a case of upgrading to 6.2 then installing custom firmware easy as that - I did the one for Nokgod took me about 2 minutes!! One of the guys over PSPSO sent me the corect firmware let me know if its a phat and I will pm you the tutorial and the files across

^ Having OFW 6.60 isn't a problem, just Google "6.60 Pro B-10". You should find all you need on the first page of hits - I did anyway!

My mistake re-reading the PM he sent me the hacks are for when you upgrade the PSP to 6.60.. Shoot you a pm now Grizzly'
