I've been getting back into Peace Walker (trying to finish it so I can free up space on my PSP) and I'm currently working through the Zardanov missions. I had a bit of trouble on the third one sneaking past the guards hiding in the bushes, so after a couple of failed attempts I decided to ignore the stealth and just shot them all. Perhaps not the best way to go about it, but worked for me :)

Currently stuck into Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on 360. Been playing AC2 and this back to back, found 2 a bit of a chore but this one is curiously enjoyable. I'm on nights and it seems very easy to play this in bite-sized chunks, advancing slowly but surely through mini-sessions on it. A mate at work was saying how he found this 'linear' in comparison to AC2 but I'm not seeing it - this seems to have condensed the size of the map and made it much 'thicker', rather than tedious and watered-down like in the previous two, plus they've added some odd rare item collection stuff which reminds me of Onimusha 2 a bit, I like that type of stuff. Much prefer to play games set in a smaller, richer world than an empty, boring, drawn-out one, so this actually improves upon those previous two games, at least for me (I'm the type of gamer who preferred Fallout 3 to Oblivion).

First AssCreed game I've actually found myself *enjoying*, plus I love referring to them as "AssCreed". ;)

Started The Last Story yesterday and I'm a bit on the fence so far. The combat isn't clicking with me for some reason. There seems to be too much going on (fighting, using the crossbow, luring enemies to yourself etc.) and I just don't 'get' it. Simply pushing the classic controller's stick in the direction of enemies to attack them just feels wrong. Half the time I end up just hacking at everything and hoping none of my party dies. If there's any kind of strategy involved then I haven't found it yet. Bah, give me a turn-based system any day.

On the other hand, the overall world design and characters are keeping me interested. The first city (I'm assuming there are more?) is quite large and there seems to be a lot to see/do. Also loving the English voice-overs and the likeable characters, especially boozy and potty-mouthed Syrenne who I think is my favourite so far.

It's an RPG though so I'll give it a lot more time before forming a cast-iron opinion.

Continuing my RPG fix i started a file on Final Fantasy V via the PS1 Anthology collection. I was going to start on The Last Story but my Wii is pretty buggered.

Lets see if i can finish it this time round! I got to the final boss about 6 or 7 years ago and never finished it. Got a lot of love for this one. Definately has the best use of the "job" system and i like all the secrets the game has to track down with the hidden treasure and summons.
I asked for orange. It gave me lemon lime!

I've been splitting my time betweem Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 and Mario Kart 7.

All are enjoyable games as far as I'm concerned, and I'm particularly loving Amalur, but I haven't had time to really get my teeth into it yet.

I played some more radiant silvergun, that game is so much damn fun. I'm ass at it too and I think it's a ton of fun. I actually like it way more than ikuraga.

More Raystorm.

Screw the second boss. Seems to be the "tick me off" boss of this particular game. Every shmup has one.

And yet more Mad God.

I wonder just what they were smoking when they came up with the Sprite World dungeon. It reminds me of the old Rainbow Road from the Mario Kart games, except really deranged and with conveyor belts everywhere.

I've been getting into Gimmick! for NES just lately. TERRIFIC platformer with hands down the best music I've come across on the system.

Bonanza Bros on MAME - one of those games I'd never really got around to playing back in the day and very addictive it is too!

- Pullblox on 3DS - awesome game if you just want a pick-up and play type puzzler
- Dillon's Rolling Western on 3DS (can't get into it though)
- Binary Domain on 360 - not sure about this yet, seems like a fairly bland Gears of War clone with sub-par graphics at the moment
- Zelda Skyward Sword on Wii - Doing it a bit at a time so it's taking aaaaaages
- Loads of stuff on Vita, especially Virtua Tennis and Wipeout

Far too much really.....

Currently playing

Pier Solar (MD) - an enjoyable game but I need more time with it
Pokemon Soulsilver - Never really got into these before but actually quite enjoyable

also played Mercs (MD) last night on original mode though kept forgetting to go to the secret areas. Still one of my favourite games.

Put my copy of FFVII into my Playstation last night (copy I've had since I was a kid). Doesn't bloody work! It's fine until I press O on New Game, then nothing happens! I almost cried, especially when I remembered there was a copy for sale for a fiver on the forum the other day!

The new Twisted Metal.

OMIGOD. It's like someone took every aspect I could want in a multiplayer game, distilled it to it's purest form, and then threw in lightning bolts and explosions and awesomeness.

Now I just have to figure out why exactly one of the vehicles is a helicopter for.... some reason. Not Warhawk, either. Some new thing.
