Anyone else watching Luck? Watched the first episode Sunday night, bit baffled, but looks quality. You can't go far wrong with Hoffman (except Hook, Ishtar etc lol)

Watched Arrietty the other night. was a decent enough, nice easy film to watch. I also watched the interview with Hayao Miyazaki about the film. I have to say i would hate to work for him. He seems like a real harsh bloke and gives the director of Arrietty very little credit. But then again this is the man that said his own sons film (Tales of Earthsea) was gonna be guff.

Yep, I watched the second episode last night. It is on the 'Anytime' section of the Sky + box. Still think that the plot is a bit too diffuse. I know it is about horse race fixing and Hoffman's character trying to get revenge for being in jail, but it is perhaps going a bit too slowly - even for a HBO program. Maybe it will grow on me.

I then watched more of True Blood(season 4). This season is pretty good. The 'witches' storyline is quite interesting.

I then watched the original Russian version of 'Solaris'. I definitely think, that the George Clooney remake was better. The original is too long. A more focused story in the remake as well.

Watched "The Eagle" on Anytime. Throw the history books out the door as always but a good enough buddy movie with swords and some decent fight sequences. Quite enjoyed it as a popcorn movie.

TV - 30 Rock Season 5 boxset. Better than S4 but it still doesn't grab me like it used to...

Film - Rambo First Blood: Part II

I watched more of 'The Good Wife'(season 3) and 'The Big C'(season 2). Both better episodes from their current seasons.

I then started watching 'Romanzo Criminale'. It was shown on Sky Arts. An Italian drama about the Mafia. Pretty decent stuff. I have about 8 more episodes to watch of it.

I just looked it up on IMDB, and apparently there was a film version as well. I haven't seen that, or read the book on which it is based.

Just watched the latest Walking Dead episode from the US.

Not bad, more zombies, glad they're away from that farm as that was boring. Only 3 episodes left this season so i'm sure it'll end with a bang.

Recently joined Love Film and Mrs Tachi added "2 and a Half Men Season 1".
Got the first disk yesterday and watched it...
How the hell did that show become so successful, it's bloody awful!
Suffice as to say we cancelled the order of the rest of the series lol

They've been showing the Dirty Harry films on one of the ITV channels this week; one per night so far, so I'm assuming that Sudden Impact will be on tonight.

I've seen the first two countless times but never the other three. Missed most of the Enforcer last night but will make sure to watch the remaing two this week. Decent films, especialy if you're a fan of Eastwood.

We picked that up a couple of weeks ago for £1.50 as O/H fancies watching it, might give it a watch myself now.
