Just returned from first appointment of the day with Doctor.
No infection as I had feared but report from surgeons stated lots of nerves were severed during Operation so all this pain is the nerves repairing.
Been given another week off work and told pain killers wont touch it, use icepacks
Off to next appointment interviewing Nursery staff to see which one is worthy of caring for our daughter.

Today, I was off work for a much needed day off, have a fair a bit of stress at work. Chose some spectacles that cost an arm and a leg - £345.00, they seem to look pretty good and I'll pick them up in a weeks time usually cost a fair bit with my bad vision I need the extra thin lenses. Nipped in the Bee shop, and picked up; Legion on Blu-ray - £3.99 for my Dad and for me Batman, the movie (1989) on Blu-ray - £4.99, am really excited to watch this as I'm going to see it at my Odeon cinema on the 12th of this month. They've been doing 80's films on a monday and this is one of my favourite films, am going with my cousin, he has the same taste films as me. And, I picked the bumper 100th issue of the mag and was pleasantly surprised to see the 1st issue in there too, this may actually get read before my GamesMaster magazine. And I also, booked tickets for me and my little nephew to see the Star Wars film in 3D for Sunday, that should be good.

Sad to hear Ralph McQuarrie has died, he did all the early artwork for Star Wars, totally remember seeing his pictures as a kid.

Today me and my 10 year old nephew went to see Star Wars Film, Episode 1; The Phantom Menace (In 3D) at the cinema. We both enjoyed, but I didn't notice much 3D effects in there, would have been a lot better if three teenage boys in front were talking, messing about really loudly and my personal pet hate, let's put our feet up on the seats and sprawl out. I hushed them twice, but when the chocolate wrapping came out and just screwing up in the air, well I just kicked the back of the lad's seat, he just stopped. I must admit, a lot of films am going to see recently and this applies to afternoon viewings, people are sat there talking, so annoying and people wonder why pirate DVD’s are rocketing. My 10 year old nephew was so well behaved these boys were about 13. I think this may get posted in what grinds yours gears bit too. Though saying this, I'm going to the cinema again on the 12th March to see Batman (1989) movie and again on the 2nd April to see Shaun of The Dead, am expecting that it should mostly people who enjoy their films and want to watch them - I really, hope for this, otherwise can see my love affair of going to the pictures ending.

Today I saw pictures of my Nephew (not quite 2), being hugged by Chewbacca. Apparantly there was a sci fi thing in Swindon yesterday, so he got to meet characters from Star Wars, Doctor Who and several others. He loves Star Wars. His first word was 'Daddy' his second word was 'Darth'. Me and my Brother are so proud

And then tonight I get a Facebook message from a work colleague telling me they've found an N64 in the loft. Offered it to me for free, despite me telling her, repeatedly, that the copy of Banjo Tooie in there is worth a bit of money! The woman will not allow me to pay any money towards it, It's annoying. So I shall have to buy here a rather large quantity of Chocolate as a thankyou.

I woke up this morning, and it was the first day ever (that I can remember) where I've actually lived by myself. No more family/other half/girlfriend/friends etc any more, just me in there with the 2 cats.
Now I just need to clear out all her junk, and get used to the idea that my kids have also gone with her :(
Looking forward to the time and space of being on my own though, if only for a short while.

Saw an advert for the new season of the Apprentice and suddenly thought of our 'strange' forum character - Edward Eoftish. Wonder if he'll turn up as he does once a year just to talk Apprentice on a retro games forum !
