I thought that they had already confirmed that it wasn't being renewed due to Fox losing money on it.

Katzkatz wrote:I then watched 'Inglorious B@stards'. My second viewing of it. Definitely one of QT's best films. Okay, it has flaws, it is over long and a little bit self indulgent. However, it has the energy of his earlier work,(I am thinking of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction) and was missing in most of his other films. Chistoph Waltz was amazing in this film.

Absolutely hated this film. Too much talking for me, not enough action. Saw about a hour and was nearly bored silly. On a happier note, Jumpin Jack Flash came through my door on DVD earlier (thanks to that £5 code for ebay :D ), so have got that to look forward to. Plus, got Flatliners and Zodiac Directors Cut on Blu-Ray to watch as well. Busy night indeed.

Last night I watched all of Dennis Potter's 'The Singing Detective'. Probably his best work. Has a unique 'dream-like' quality to it. Great stuff from Gambon and co.

I'll think that, I will give the film remake a miss. Stick with the original.

The new Conan film. Has entered my worst films of all time list at number 3 (after Jurassic Park 3 and Speed 2).

After the first couple of episodes, found myself marathoning the rest of Eden of the East. Really pretty enjoyable, though you could see some parts of the story coming a mile off. Worth it for the end scene alone IMO. Some niggles:
-The ending doesn't really give much closure, not surprising given there's more stuff released after this but still.
-Why is Saki seemingly drawn in a completely different way to everyone else? It's seriously jarring.

Red Riding Hood. Alright, Oldman was good as always, but the woodsman had that crappy Twilight vibe about him, being a bit foppish and not in the least masculine. Rather let the side down. Mrs enjoyed it but I can't really recommend it.

Pan Am episode 1, a bit meh. A mate reckoned it was good, but we often disagree on our telly.

Homeland looks much better, watched the first 2 epsiodes and enjoyed them. Claire Danes' character has potential to be annoying so with luck they'll tone her down a bit (and she reminds me too much of Starbuck), but Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin I usually find very watchable.

I recently watched the newest Star Trek film again although it wasn't anywhere as good as I remember it being when I last watched it when it came out probably because I originally watched it at IMAX

I watched more of 'The Good Wife' and 'The Big C'. Good drama from More 4.

I also watched the first episode of the new BBC 2 drama 'White Heat'. Meh, tries to do a topical 1960s style drama, but it falls a bit short. I don't know whether I'll continue with it.

That's a film I remember almost nothing about, so no. Sorry.

I have watched Tim Burton’s Batman on Blu-ray on Saturday evening and then went to watch it again at my local Odeon, on Monday night. I really enjoyed watching the two versions again, the Blu-ray version for its quality and at the Odeon to see it again on the big screen. It was a little blurry and the sound was a little fuzzy, but very much worth it as the last time I had seen at the cinema was back in 1989, and this is one of my favourite films. It has aged quite well, biggest surprise was I thought Batman was great when I was younger but as I am older I love the Joker, to be fair probably found him scary as kid. My Odeon are offering films from the 80’s and class films on Monday nights, £4 for un-reserved seating and £5 for premier. Am going to see Shaun of The Dead in a couple of weeks with my cousin again and am thinking I might go and watch Heat next week.

It's brilliant. A brilliant, funny show. And Portia Di Rossi is so fit! And so lesbian!!
