At the moment I am totally addicted to Forza 4, and have been for the last month.

In the retroarea, I bought the id superpack on Steam on sale for christmas, and am currently playing through the first Heretic game. Great fun. Is there even any fantasy first-person shooters these days?

I've been playing NHL 2007 on the PSP for weeks now. It has me in a vice-like grip, its tractor beam won't let me go, I can't escape....please, can anyone rescue me??

Tried out two new titles today.

Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves - Absolutely loving this game! The HD upgrade makes it look stunning and the game is as well produced as the first. Great characters, voicework and level design - can't believe I missed these games when they were first released on PS2!

A Shadow's Tale - This was one I treated myself to in the GAME sale at £20, taking a complete punt because it looked quirky. It's absolutely jaw-dropping thus far, it really puts me in mind of Ico & Shadow of the Colossus in terms of presentation and story direction - and that's no bad thing!! The gameplay is all pretty ingenious so far and I'm completely hooked -- Has anyone else played this??

Yeah, I was bigging up A Shadow's Tale when it first came out, thought it was a great game and it seems to have slipped under many people's radar. It's also a lot bigger than you first think it is as well, theres more to do than just getting to the top of the tower....althogh you'll realise before you get there that there's areas you can't get to just yet. Very playable game and reminds me a lot of Prince Of Persia and even (more recently) Limbo to an extent, with the art style and atmosphere of Ico.

And Sly 2: Band Of Thieves is my favourite of the trilogy, some absolutely great levels in that one. The third game isn't quite as good but you should still enjoy it if you like the first two. :)

Good to hear that Shadow's Tale is expansive :D I'm going to do it in short bursts, no longer than an hour each. I found I enjoyed SOTC far more doing that then through extended play sessions.

The only gripe about Sly 2 so far is having to trek all the way to the safe house to switch characters, aside from that it's pretty flawless :) the mini-games that are included in the HD collection will make Sly 3 worth playing (as I believe you unlock those by playing the 3rd game)

Dragon Quest IX. I'm enjoying it so far but largely it's just reminding me of how much I enjoyed DQM: Joker and making me wonder why I sold that game and how I can get hold of another copy.

Currently cruising through Uncharted: Drake's Fortune as never got around playing it before. Good to take from the beginning as this series can be fulfilled with excitement.

Plus I'm still playing Club Boss mode in Pro Evolution Soccer 2012, and mixture of Spec Ops/Survival mode in Modern Warfare 3.

Back to some retro action, I been playing some Donkey Kong GB. Possibly one of my favourite reboot during that time as it improved the concept of that particular title. The idea of Mario adapting to acrobats made it looked fun afterall. :)

Just had a blast on Tekken 6 for the PSP. Really impressed at how they've managed to port all the important elements from the console version over.

Dark Ressurection was a fantastic game but I'm liking this more thanks to the inclusion of Leo & Asuka

Going through Atari 2600 games, H.E.R.O. is fab. Moon Patrol goes without saying, too. Lots of crap, and titles that don't stand up now, but what does really shines.

Also having a reasonable amount of fun with Scarlet Weather Rhapsody on PC. It's a fighting game, but Touhou, so there's a big emphasis on projectiles. Limited movesets aside, it's good for a bash. Gameplay vid.

Still yet to actually try the main Touhou games, but looking to get in Great Fairy Wars and Double Spoiler.

Uncharted: Drake's Deception arrived today, so I've been playing that. I really enjoy what I've seen so far, but the pace seems slower than in the previous games. Maybe I'm still not far enough for things to pick up.

I'm also grinding on Final Fantasy. I'm slightly overpowered for where I am (the crescent lake), but I don't want to get caught out by the final dungeon again so I'm trying to grind whenever I have the patience.

Twisted Metal.

Screw whoever had the idea for "EXP systems" in competetive online games. After unlocking most things in single-player, I find out I have to do it AGAIN, very damn slowly, online.

Yet another really irritating trend in modern games that I wish would go away. ...though I'll put up with it for THIS game.

Still. I just want the damn semi. Cant get it yet. Bah.
