Really satisfying when you do progress though, sometimes when it clicks what you need to do you feel damn stupid for not seeing it. Babel I found lots of fun, and still have a play on.

I still need to go through this one at some point myself. Looks like my sort of thing.

....and it ALWAYS reminds me of Intelligent Qube. They need to release THAT game on PSN. They really do. I've got a copy of it SOMEWHERE but I havent seen it in ages.

Was SUCH a good game.

Randomly fired up Sqoon on NES. Hadnt played this in YEARS. Ancient shmup with some rather interesting mechanics to it.

.....and good grief I'd forgotten how bloody DIFFICULT this one is. So far most of what I'm managing is finding new and interesting ways to die.

This one's alot of fun though. I need to put more time into this.... I never got very far as a kid. Might be interesting to really try to beat it now.

Enjoyed "Beetle Adventure Racing" on the N64 last night. Still lots of fun, although the laps are a little long. Enjoy the exploration though.

Also played Destruction Derby 1 & 2 on the PSX. DD1 really is a pain - so much to like, but the tracks are so tight and the car is too far in front of the camera so as to make turns more tricky. DD2 on the other hand is pure "ace". Fab game and so much fun. Got into Division 1 last night, and will try and top it tonight.

Then tried Need for Speed on PSX. Not for long though. Oh dear... memories have clouded this one.

Then played Wip3out which was really enjoyable. For me not as good as Wipeout or 2097/XL - all a bit clean for me, but still a great game. Its looks are remarkable.

Finally played some Super Mario Kart .... and swore alot.
Currently Playing: Rage Racer, Resi 2, Super Chase HQ, BLOPS2
Complete: NES, SNES, N64, MS, MD, PSX
Current: WiiU

Been battling with the original Gears Of War on 360 for a few days now...set my 360 to output 720p and it suddenly feels a lot better to play, all those jaggles now feel smoothed-out and the game actually looks/feels nice n' solid now, and I'm starting to finally enjoy it without having that niggling 'display issue' feeling at the back of my mind. Think I'll leave it on 720p for the while, *do* have a true 1080p TV but notice most 360 games are 720p native and many look horribly jaggly and 'wrong' if I leave it on 1080p (there's more to gaming life than having a super-sharp n' swishy 360 dash). ;)

Also done a few cases on PS3 L.A. Noire, such a truly atmospheric game. Back to work tomoz, but gonna be a good day of pure gaming today. :D

Screw whoever had the idea for "EXP systems" in competetive online games. After unlocking most things in single-player, I find out I have to do it AGAIN, very damn slowly, online.

Yet another really irritating trend in modern games that I wish would go away. ...though I'll put up with it for THIS game.

Still. I just want the damn semi. Cant get it yet. Bah.

Im with you there, having to do a similar thing in Blur, spending hours getting beaten by those with better mods than you is great fun :(

Fortunately for my sanity Twisted Metal is fairly well balanced. I randomly got pretty good with one of the 3 starting cars, Death Warrant. I'm getting way more kills than I am deaths. Actually doing quite well indeed, hitting the first or second place for some matches.

.....I still want that damn semi though. It can ram things, really fast, which just never stops entertaining me.

And regardless of HOW I'm doing, the unlocking is still..... very very slow. Gonna take awhile, sigh. The part where I also have to unlock sidearms and the energy attacks is also annoying.

Yakuza Dead Souls on the PS3. I already played the hell out of the game last year but I still couldn't wait to play this again. The camera and frame rate can be at times terrible, I was kind of hoping with the extra time it took to release the English version they would have fixed that. The new controls really aren't all that different to the old ones (in fact, I changed them back because they felt more comfortable).

Still, bar the switch to shooting zombies from fighting thugs its still the same ol' Yakuza formula. Lots of stuff to do, loads of mini games, side stories, missions etc. to take up my time doing and playable Majima so its all good.

I am just installing Goldeneye on the PS3 borrowed off a mate to try as I hit a snag with MGSHD (The MGS2 VR missions are going great....then I unlocked MGS1 Snake and I am BARELY stopping myself throwing the controller at the telly! )

Would also love to start Mass Effect but it's not on PS3 and I don't have a 360. The missus will maim me alive if I bought a new console just right now so that's one series I will have to skip (I don't want to start at 2, that to me is pointless!)

Trying (and failing) to kill Dracula at the end of Super Castlevania (yeah, spoilers!).

He's kicking my ass though. I can deal with the first phase, but the second one where he conjures up these flaming heads, I just can't deal with it. They seem to intentionally fly where my whip can't get them. Still, I'm getting better and better at it. He won't last much longer!

Can I just take this moment to thank whoever it was at Konami who saw sense and provided a password just for the final boss? Bless you, sir!

Well...I must say I'm glad I borrowed rather then bought, its a good game but...no...I'll stick to finishing it and then give it back to my mate (Goldeneye PS3)

Edit - Hmm...still glad I just borrowed it but it is growing on me. Like how the extra objectives aren't TOOO obvious so it makes it a little more difficult.

There is a PC version also, for Mass Effect. It's available on Steam.
