Great issue, especially since you featured my message on the Forum :D that made by day.

I loved that you packaged the issue with Issue 1, it was really good because I got a good value for money, and I am currently working on creating a magazine myself and it is very nice to see how your designs in the magazine have evolved from issue 1 to 100.

In issue 1 you have a best games of all time list... you should do something like this again in a later issue but have the readers vote for their favourite games of all time! I remember seeing this in an old Nintendo Magazine back when they were published by Emap.

Great mag guys. Well done. It's lived up to the hype nicely. And getting a reprint of issue one, looking all dogeared and tatty. What a great touch.

Fair dinkum, that Mastertronic piece in Issue One is one of the best I've ever read! Brilliant stuff.

We did that already, there was lots of voting and comments on the forum for it.

Loving both issue 100 and 1. It may not have made some chuffed who already had #1, but I think the idea was brilliant, and am very grateful for the chance to read and own the first issue. I won't have a chance to look at them in depth till the weekend but first impressions are, well, impressive! :)

Does anyone know when Issue 100 will be back in stock, since WHSmith around my area hasn't supplied it?

What freebie did retrogamer give us loyal readers who where there supporting the magazine from the start for this 100th issue? A cd remix of Rob Hubbards latest work..no sorry. Ok, how about a conversion of a classic game like Chaos for the Xbox360 / PS3....er no. What we got was a magazine that we already own without the coverdisc and a jack up in price for the privilige of it! :( Disappointing. Whats next? Issue 200 will have Issue 100 added free?

Great 100 issue though enjoyed every article so I suppose this made up for it.

Does that mean an original issue 1 copy goes up in price on Ebay even more now??

Well I would have been p*ssed off if either of those were the "gift" and I already own issue 1 of the mag.

See this just highlights even more how difficult it must be to cater for everyone. I was personally delighted at the free issue #1, literally eyes wide open in shock when it all came through the letterbox, was not expecting that and I probably missed about 40 issues worth of the mag before regularly starting to buy it so had never seen the old style RetroGamer, let alone issue number one! I think having unrealistic expectations (like they should have developed a game for the Xbox360) doesn't really help, where does the money come from to pay for something like an XBOX360 game? I'm sure the fact that most of the writers are freelance and not permanently employed on the mag shows just how much profit there is in this niche area for a magazine. The price hike is obvious, there are very obvious costs associated with printing a magazine even if it is just a reprint, they still have costs to cover. What sort of cover price were you going to accept for a full-blown Xbox360 / ps3 game? I wouldn't even be able to play it due to not owning either.

What % of readers of RG has issue 1?

Very very small % I think!

Again you cant please everyone. Imagine if that type-in in the mag was a Speccy one and not a C64 one ? You would probably moan about that ! I've already got issue 1 from years back so the 'gift' wasnt that great for me. But i wouldnt want a cd remix of Rob Hubbards latest work, not all of us like to listen to retro soundtracks. So again you cant please everyone.

I wasnt expecting ANYTHING for issue 100, the mags great so i'm pleased with that, the free gift wasnt to my liking as i've already got it but i'm not bothered, i've not lost anything as i was after just issue 100. Thought issue 100 was the same price ? Dont know why people dont subscribe as they'll save money

But again you cant please everyone, C64 listing (speccy fans might not be happy), issue 1 on the cover, some people who have that already are moaning. Just cant win !
