A cd remix of Rob Hubbards latest work..no sorry. Ok, how about a conversion of a classic game like Chaos for the Xbox360 / PS3....er no. What we got was a magazine that we already own without the coverdisc and a jack up in price for the privilige of it!Disappointing. Whats next? Issue 200 will have Issue 100 added free?
See this just highlights even more how difficult it must be to cater for everyone. I was personally delighted at the free issue #1, literally eyes wide open in shock when it all came through the letterbox, was not expecting that and I probably missed about 40 issues worth of the mag before regularly starting to buy it so had never seen the old style RetroGamer, let alone issue number one! I think having unrealistic expectations (like they should have developed a game for the Xbox360) doesn't really help, where does the money come from to pay for something like an XBOX360 game? I'm sure the fact that most of the writers are freelance and not permanently employed on the mag shows just how much profit there is in this niche area for a magazine. The price hike is obvious, there are very obvious costs associated with printing a magazine even if it is just a reprint, they still have costs to cover. What sort of cover price were you going to accept for a full-blown Xbox360 / ps3 game? I wouldn't even be able to play it due to not owning either.

If you like the issue, that's the main thing. If you don't...well judging by the feedback here you're in a minority. So tough. You want a freebie? You got one, issue one. You don't like that? Sell it, you're bound to at least get the extra ****ing pound back that was such a big deal...
