Well, Legends reduced the number of random battles and added quite a bit of new content. I hope this remake's based on Legends, because it'd be a shame to lose those improvements.

Basically It's not a good game. So they have beautiful graphics and added retro? Long and dull exposition, tedious cut scenes, and game play that well is fundamentally dull add up to an experience I'd rather forget. Some one put it too me that playing Shenmue is like playing a bad top down 16 bit RPG, with Dragon Lair QTE's: Without the graphics you'd be playing a game that would roundly be panned for its awfulness and boring nature, yet this one is celebrated as being some kind of master stroke. It really, really isn't a master stroke, not by a long shot, why people love it so is beyond me
