As expected Shenmue seems to be stealing the limelight here, but come on people they are remaking 'Skies of Arcadia' WoooHooo... I hope the random fights are calmed down from the original DC version though. For me that was the only slightly wobbly part of an otherwise very close to perfect game, and I'd say there's only been around two or three 'perfect' games!

Well, Legends reduced the number of random battles and added quite a bit of new content. I hope this remake's based on Legends, because it'd be a shame to lose those improvements.

Me too. I'm a bit concerned that they might do what they did with Sonic Adventure though & have all the extra stuff that they added to the Gamecube version as DLC you need to pay extra for.

The Dreamcast versions music & sound quality was better than the Cube's as they had to compress the sound to make the game fit onto 1 Gamecube disk and it was noticeable too especially through earphones.
The square is a great shape, and one that is criminally underused in modern game design. In the push to ever more granular, chaotic environments, games have lost sight of the simple pleasures of right angles and straight lines.

Yeah, there were a couple of downloadable bonus weapons for Vyse and Aika, Hamachou Island, and an extra giant monster to fight...nothing too important or was vital to the game or storyline, but nice little additions nonetheless.

Skies Of Arcadia Legends had all of the above, and also extra discoveries, characters and sidequests. Really wouldn't surprise me if they're cut out and put up as day one DLC. :(

Shenmue, add me to the it's rubbish side of things

Basically It's not a good game. So they have beautiful graphics and added retro? Long and dull exposition, tedious cut scenes, and game play that well is fundamentally dull add up to an experience I'd rather forget. Some one put it too me that playing Shenmue is like playing a bad top down 16 bit RPG, with Dragon Lair QTE's: Without the graphics you'd be playing a game that would roundly be panned for its awfulness and boring nature, yet this one is celebrated as being some kind of master stroke. It really, really isn't a master stroke, not by a long shot, why people love it so is beyond me

Maybe, but I don't thing the Sonic Adventure DLC was too pricey, and I think it may of gone down in price.

Oh well, there's always Sega XBLA sales that spring up every so often if they charge too much for DLC...
